My favourite pens, wish they were easier to get in the UK!

Needing to fit information in small spaces I need a reliable fine print pen. The cushion widens the barrell and is more comfortable for lengthy writing. This is the pen I have bought for 20 years or more, but was getting difficult to find. I finally thought of looking on Amazon. Problem solved; the price was competitive, and it was delivered quickly. And here's a tip: I unscrew the black top and insert a thin strip of patterned paper into the clear barrel. This makes it easier to see on a dark desk, tells others it is mine. Also, the varied patterns tells me where it belongs: work desk, purse, home office, etc., so I'm not losing them as often. A little thing like remembering to look on Amazon for an everyday product makes life easier.

After waiting all day for these pens to be delivered, I was disappointed to see that each pen cap had a bar code label on it. When I removed one of the labels, it left a sticky residue. These pens were intended to use in gift journals that have a cloth cover with an outside pocket for a pen...the sticky residue makes the pens not usable....and I do not want to clean each pen to remove the gummy residue. This style of pen is perfect for putting matching fabric inside the clear case, and it will match the cloth journal that I make. I immediately asked for a return label and will buy these at a store where I can see what I'm getting.

I love the convenience of Amazon but these packs of pens are in horrible condition. The boxes are literally torn and somewhat taped together because this was not a 24 pack but two packs of 12. I don't mind buying clearance items but when something is advertised as new I would appreciate a new item that the packaging is not destroyed.

I very much prefer fine point pens and have used this pen a number of times in the past. They are ones I prefer. Pentel makes good pens.That being said, I have used several of these and after writing with them for more than a few minutes the ink gets lighter and lighter until it is too light. It also skips sometimes. I didn't used to have that problem with these pens when I have used them in the past. I am guessing that the problem is they are older. At any rate, they were so bad I finally threw them all away.
