Gem AvenueSquare Shape Vitrail Austrian Crystal 925 Sterling Silver Charm Pendant for Women

I ordered this and the matching earrings at the same time without ever having seen them in "real life." I was hoping that they would be pretty. I was not disappointed. As soon as I opened the box, I said, "Ooooooh!"The pendant shines mostly purple and blue colors and it really picks up the light and has long facets along all the edges. The crystal is 3/4 inch square. In case you were wondering, the crystals on the earrings are 9/16 of an inch square. So this is bigger and the frame is wider (about 3/16" versus 2/16" for the earrings.)As you can see from the photo, the bale is round. It is a 1/2 inch round ring, but it doesn't leave a lot of room at the top for a big chain (as the ring must sit in the corner of the crystal.) I have mine on a thin chain because I thought it set off the pendant better anyway (you have to supply your own chain.)Just like the earrings, the back of the crystal is plain silver, sort of like a mirror. I don't know what this material is on the back (sterling foil? silver leaf? paint?) but it must serve to reflect the light back through the crystal facets. I am storing mine in the box it came in to prevent any scratching of this backing (even though I am not sure it will indeed scratch, I don't want to take a chance.)Overall, the pendant and earrings are very different and sparkly. I receive many compliments and questions ("Where did you get those?!?) every time I wear them.

I would not recommend this product. The color is not a deep teal blue green as pictured, but is instead a pale pink line and a pale baby blue line of color, that from a distance look lavender....nothing deep and rich about this color at all. Because of the cheap looking bale that attaches this pendant to a chain necklace, I almost didn't buy this pendant. But because I had just ordered the matching earring (which proved to be a washed out color as well) I went against my better judgment and ordered this pendant to match them. They were both a disappointment because of the color and the quality of the bale, and I don't recommend the pendant nor the earrings.

I love swarovski crystals and this charm does not disappoint. I like the 3-D affect, it is attractive from all angles. I have hung this charm on a wide sterling silver chain using the middle of the square, not the silver link. I may add a small colored bead or charm to that link at a later date. For now I have a very different looking necklace for a very low price. The quality is excellent and the 2-D effect of a computer screen does not do it justice.

My mom loved this gift that I gave her.... so much that I'll most likely pick up the matching earrings for her. The only thing that I can say that I was disappointed in was the back of the pendant. I was hoping that the picture displayed would have that look on both sides... but instead the back of the pendant has a silver coating so in there is a back and a front to this pendant.

This was the first thing I ordered from Gem Ave and I was a little nervous purchasing jewelry online. When I opened the box "WOW!!!" this pendant was beautiful. Even with all the items I have purchased, this one is my favorite. I suggest getting the matching earrings because it is a great set. The pendant sparkles and catches the light. I get complimented everytime I wear it.

This is a beautiful pendant charm. As others have said, it mostly sparkles with a blue/green/purple hue. I bought the Square Vitrial Light Crystal Pendant and Earrings to make a set like many other reviewers and I have to agree that they make a fantastic set. My order was processed quickly, delivery was rapiid and the Pendant and Earrings look great. I'm very pleased wiht this purchase and would shop with Gem Avenue again!

This charm was quite pretty until the back which is coated with something silver started to peel off?? It hasn't peeled off entirely. However, where it has makes it see through. Eventually,I believe it will deteriorate. Unfortunately, although this item arrives pretty, it won't have a long life unless you seal it in a shadow box!
