Very satisfying fidget, but not the most silent one.
First impressions: the first day or two when first using this fidget, it made a grinding sound (im fairly certain the sound was the color coating scraping against the magnets/itself while moving). However after a few days of use, the grinding disappeared (the color coating on the surfaces the glide across each other did wear off some which I don't mind since that was the noisy part but it does look a little more worn in those spots since the color is worn away). So my very first impression was not amazing though not terrible *but* since "breaking it in" this had been an *extremely* satisfying fidget toy - see below:Feel: 7/5 this is hands down one of the most satisfying fidgets I've personally used. It's small enough to easily slip into a pocket and us not awkward to manipulate in my relatively small hands like some fidget toys do. The tactile feel of the magnet releasing its hold at the start of the motion only for the inner part to be captured again by the next magnet (as well as the very definitive click heard as the inner piece falls into place) is quite satisfying in my case at least.Noise/stealth: 3/5 while (with care and concentration) this toy *can* be used silently (at least once "broken in"), *but* it is difficult to avoid the occasional pronounced click from it if the inner piece gets away from your finger at all (and at least for me, using it in the slower, more restrained way that is required for silence lessens how effective it is at keeping me focused on task because some of my attention has to be kept on the fidget. So while I love this fidget when by myself or outdoors, it's not necessarily the best choice to use in a quiet meeting or something (I have done it, but it is not ideal if the risk of the fidget making noise is a concern in your intended setting).Overall: this is the fidget that has caused all my others find their way to the dusty back of a drawer (save only one totally silent other fidget that I still use for times when accidental noise is not tolerable and I can't use this fidget confidently). The price at $25 is a few dollars steep compared to some fidget toys, but since I've yet to find anything quite like this, I find the price acceptable and have even ordered a second now in case I lose this one (they were out of the cool looking teal so I will see how the sleek black one feels). My only real gripe with this fidget is I wish there was a bare metal/polished aluminum version since I think that would solve 2 issues at once - lessening the grinding sound during the break in period, and lessening how quickly the gadget starts to look worn and beat up once the break in period is over. I see where there has been a change made that may solve both issues for the ones in the cool colors they have now, but I'm also not sure I love the idea of adding more Teflon "forever chemicals" to my home/life when the issues might be solved almost as well by simply not painting the gadget in the first place. Some suggestions for improvement:- make a bare aluminum version-add a thin shock-absorbent material (e.g. foam or cloth) to cushion the tips of the inner piece when it slides into place to dampen the clicking sound so it's more usable even in very quiet places.Even without those improvements I love the fidget, I think they would just make it perfect for me.

Great but not durable
I love this product. I have used it for a couple weeks at work, and it is relaxing and discreet. Unfortunately, the fabric that dampens the sounds began to shift inside the slider housing. I tried to use it without the dampener but operation is not smooth and there is a scratching noise. I wanted to replace it but none were available so I had to return it. I will try another in the future.

An elegantly designed fidget toy
The Airino is a very well-designed fidget toy. It feels like the kind of product you'd see in a big box store. It's also competitively priced(I paid $23.99).Pros:• Very satisfying. The movement is smooth and well-designed.• Feels high quality. It lacks the weight of some of the heavier fidget toys, but the body feels very solid.• Looks elegant. It looks like a desk toy, rather than looking like a kid's toy.• Easy to play with. Requires very little practice to use. Doesn't have a tendency to fall out of your hand while in use.• The packaging is appreciated. While not something I'd use for display, it's a nice touch for travel use.Cons:• The teflon is not nearly as durable as the rest of the toy. After only a month of infrequent use, the teflon already has light scratches as well as a visible indentation over each magnet.• The Airino is rather loud. This isn't inherently a flaw, but makes the useless as an office toy, contrary to the product description. It's not impossible to use the Airino silently, but doing so is overall a poor experience (and intermittent clicks will still escape).

Greatest adult fidget EVER
I, like a lot of people, got addicted to fidgets. Not in a psych addiction but a craftsmanship of these little fidget machines. Most good, some not so good. The Airino Magnetic Pivot Slider checks all of the boxes. It comes with a beautiful soft formed little zipper case, (like an ear bud case) it fits easily in your palm. Shaped like a three sided guitar pick but thicker. I guess the idea is to push the slider in away to make it sound like a click of a light switch. The slider is magnetic and is elliptical in shape. It sits down in the “thick guitar pick”. The slider area on the pick has three sides so the slider doesn’t slip off and they provide the slider (if done correctly) with click sound. I move the slider with my thumb the left side push up “click” then the right side down “click” when I master a regular fast pace, I will then try other ways of achieving the click in different ways.I love this fidget a very high level of craftsmanship, solid and sturdy, no question there. I’ve just talked myself into buying another one just incase. You can’t go wrong with this product.

Very close to greatness (update: manufacturing flaws)
Update:The magnet the protruded wore through the film after only a few hours of regular use. At this point I definitely can’t recommend this, much as I would like to.Original review:I've used a lot of fidget toys over the years. I was looking for something reasonably discreet that I could fidget with in one hand. Spinners don't really appeal and this seemed perfect. With the film, this is a great fidget toy. The action is smooth and pleasant. Without the film, there are some minor issues that keep it from being perfect:- The metal-on-metal feeling isn't pleasant- It's noisy and not in a pleasant way- One of the magnets sticks out a little, and it catches on the recess for the opposite piece occasionally. As I said, the film fixes all of this. The problem is that the film is just that--a piece of film. No adhesive, no way to keep the film in place. So after a few turns, the film slips free and pops up out of the recess. This results in the film jamming the mechanism. It also wears on the film, which means it pops up more easily. I've had this for less than an hour, and it's unusuable as is.I like the core concept of this enough to put some work in, so I'll be figuring out how to either add adhesive or add my own film. But out of the box, this is a little disappointing.
