Best over ear headphones
Best over ear noise canceling headphones I’ve tried. Great sound, really good noise cancellation and lightweight. For me they are a must for air travel. I even use them on my computer for meetings sometimes. You can get them at a discount if you are patient. But worth the price. I’ve had them for 3 years and use them regularly.

Filters out life's annoyances
I have used these headphones daily, as well as one many flights. They have helped me keep my sanity by filtering out loud talking, babies crying, videos playing on phone speakers and general annoyances. Sound quality is great, battery lasts a long time and they are comfortable. I will always have a pair of these in yhe future.

True noise canceling and definitely worth the money!
Used these headpones a few times and they are awesome!! The sound is amazing!! They have two modes, Quiet and Aware. Aware allows you to hear your surroundings while you have music playing, which is nice when you are out in public and need to be aware of your surroundings. Quiet mutes all surrounding noises. And Quiet works wonders!! I have been looking for true noise canceling headphones and these are best. I can't hear Anything! Someone next to me had to actually yell almost at the top of their lungs before I finally heard them. Finally blissful quiet. I'm in heaven. Used the phone call feature and heard the other person fine. One issue i did find was that all of a sudden there was static noise in the right ear phone. It wasn't interference or anything like that. I could still hear music, there was just loud static when it was on Aware. I troubleshooted and nothing helped - turned it on/off, disabled features, changes settings, turned off Bluetooth and multi point access, everything, nothing worked and I was still hearing static during Aware mode. Finally, not having anything else to lose, I took a page of age old advice from my parents/grandparents era and gave it the old tried and true light smack to the outside cover and it fixed itself. I can't believe it actually worked! No more static. Go figure! So glad I didn't have to return these.

Comfortable, great sound, some minor annoyances
I've had the QC45s for about a month. I got them because my roommate has had a pair of QC35 IIs for many years, and I wanted a pair of my own and wanted to see if the reality was as bad as some of the reviews.Overall, the negative reviews are a bit exaggerated - I think these are great headphones. Super comfortable, great noise cancellation, pretty solid battery life. The ability to edit the quality of the sound in the app (more/less bass, treble, middle, etc) is really nice and has made a noticeable difference in the quality. Based on what I've read, this was a very recent addition to the QC45s and was much needed. However, there are a couple of issues. One of the most annoying things that was proven TRUE from the negative reviews is this: whenever I'm connected to both my laptop and my phone, if I'm listening to my laptop audio through the QC45s, there are little lapses/missteps in audio every couple of minutes. They are quick, but they are annoyingly noticeable because they are frequent. And this is a consistent problem. THE SOLUTION is to disconnect your phone through the Bose Music app if you plan to use your computer audio for the day (i.e. a long workday). If you disconnect your phone, you'll eventually have to reconnect (of course), but it will stay connected to your laptop and the audio has been perfect with this strategy. Small, but annoying nonetheless.Another thing: it's not easy to switch between the laptop and the phone audio through the Bose Music app. It seems like my laptop takes 'precedence' when I turn on the headset (it remembers both), so if I want to switch to my phone audio, I have to go into the app and turn off the laptop connection manually. I wish the headset was more intuitive/there was a quicker way to change.Sound quality is very comparable to the QC35 IIs (perhaps because of the ability to manually edit the different levels of sound in the app), just as comfortable, and honestly look a lot better.TLDR; I think these are bit overhated, I've liked them and look forward to continuing to use them (and hopefully to Bose continuing to update them and improve the QOL and usage). I do agree that if you don't care about the aesthetic (QC45 looks much better than QC 35 II in my opinion), you would have a very similar experience with both of these.

Long time user. Would buy again.
Excellent. I use these almost daily for work and entertainment. Noise cancellation works superbly and sound quality it top notch. Fit is perfect. The only downside is that the ear pads only last for about 1.5 years before needing to be replaced.
