Didn’t See it Coming!
This book exceeded my expectations and then some. Truly it was a good slow burn of a book and I enjoyed every bit of it. The storyline was crazy interesting and had me stunned a few times. But it was fun!

super good
Really good, finished it in three days, but not a lot of smut like literally one scene and that’s it. GREAT plot tho, very cozy brain candy. Would recommend but again not a lot smut. Cover is weird but don’t let that deter you.

So good.
I really enjoyed this one. It is not insta love, they both have to work to overcome their own things, he falls harder, probably faster too, and he is willing to do what it takes for his girls. (Also, this is where you get a first, quick, glimpse of Noah) Definitely adding this to the favorites list and getting a physical copy for my shelf

the best
Amazing, I loved the twist at the end. I think the plot line was really good and the way the author describes details is nice

Good bones, but fell flat.
I wanted to love this, but ultimately it fell a little flat for me.In fact, I really enjoyed the first 70% of this book. But that’s when the wheels started falling off a bit for me. Then when we learn how all the main players in this book fit together, it really lost me. Even though the book does ended really strong and HEA, I couldn’t overlook the whole revelation the plot twist gives us.First, let’s talk about all the thinks in this book I loved:* I loved how much of the beginning of the book was written in Tobias’ POV. It let us get to know him outside his Playboy Pitcher persona and left her to be more mysterious which is very uncommon in books, but I really liked it.* I love how the fact Meyer has a baby never deterred Tobias in the slightest. He never batted and eye. He wanted Meyer and the fact Bailey was in the picture never once caused him to falter.* I loved how good Tobias was with Bailey from the get go 😭 My heart and my ovaries were exploding 😂* I loved the nicknames: Tutor Girl, Little One. Hotshot. So freaking sweet.* Speaking of nicknames, and overall, personalities. These two totally have Naley vibes from One Tree Hill. Especially the change we saw in Tobias’ personality was a lot like Nathan I thought.* Tobias also reminds me a lot of Evan Zanders from Mile High. How the media created a persona of him and instead of fighting it, he leans into it, regardless if it’s who he really is.* Controversial, but usually I don’t love the single parent tropes 🫣 they’re just not my favorites. But watching Tobias with Bailey was just too good and too sweet.* Loved the Noah Riley cameo! Now let’s talk about the things I didn’t love as much:* This book is the definition of a sloooooooooow burn 😅 Which don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a slow burn but this one burned a little slow for me and made it hard to stick with. Like the first kiss doesn’t happen until 57% through the book - don’t say I didn’t warn you.* Tobias possessiveness, jealousy and anger didn’t seem to fit the character we learned through the story. I mean I’m all about a possessive and jealous hero but I just felt these scenes didn’t fit his personality and the fights he got himself into didn’t make sense. He always seems to have that easy, arrogant, cocky, go with the flow swagger and these clips just didn’t seem to mesh with the character we saw. I know it hinted to his past of fighting and want to be recognized by his family but it just didn’t make a whole lot of sense.* Overall the story seemed kind of messy and choppy. For being such a slow burn, I felt we really missed them falling in love and really getting to know each other on a deep level. Yes, we knew Tobias wanted her, but then actually getting to know each other and fall in love seemed rushed in my opinion. And we didn’t get to see them together, in a relationship/in love much which I really wish we would have (I mean the epilogue….c’mon 🥹😍)* This book gave me whiplash trying to figure out how all these pieces were going to come together. Now again, don’t get me wrong here, I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out how the dust was going to settle revealing how they all fit together, and when I finally found out I wanted to go back to not knowing. I must say, I sure like the conclusion Tobias drew better than the reality of the situation. 😭 And the reality of the real situation seemed a little too far fetched for me if I’m being totally honest. Which, I don’t read romance novels because they’re realistic, but this was just a little bit too much and the build up to the revelation took forever, but the revelation itself seemed short and rushed. Had there been a little more time to develop the delivery I think it could have been a lot better.* Also, he forgot that he’d met her and they slept together once before?! 😬 I was hoping at least to find out he’d been drugged that time too but sure didn’t sound like it.* Coach Thomas Reid 🤢🤢🤢Like I said before, I really wanted to love this book, but it ultimately fell flat for me. Truly it was the last 30% of the book that just left a bad taste in my mouth I couldn’t look past. Even with a cute ending and even better epilogue. I really loved the development of these characters, most Tobias. I really thought their story was building up to something epic and great, but then the plot twist just twisted in the wrong direction for me 😅 The bones were there, but some of the details just fell flat.

Dirty Curve
A baseball romance about a hotshot pitcher and his tutor. And a baseball coach who is such a jerk!! And that's putting it nicely.Tobias is the star pitcher for his college team, going into his junior year of college and expected to be drafted. However, his grades started slipping, and his coach made Meyer tutor him so he could still play ball.Meyer is a single mom, and a college student who works for the athletic department. Coach makes her tutor Tobias even though she doesn't want to. She has a big secret too.Once Tobias and Meyer start spending more time together their attraction grows. His softer side comes out, and i loved seeing it. He discovers she's a single mom and falls in love with her little girl Bailey too. And it's literally the cutest thing. He calls them "his girls" 😍😍The way i freaked out at the end of chapter 31 and wanted to throw the book but was on my kindle so couldn't....omw 🙃 they do however get their HEA and i loved the ending so much!!

I couldn’t put this book down!
Ahhhhh!!!! We finally get another Meagan Brandy masterpiece to binge read!I read this entire story in one day, that’s how excited I was to have the newest Brandy book. I seriously couldn’t put it down! This entire novel was written with such engrossing plot points, I only just finished the book and I’m already missing this story! 😩🥰The dynamic between main characters, Tobias and Meyer, leaves you wanting more after (and during) every chapter. Tobias’ cocky charm and Meyer’s mature and sweet demeanour, mixed with the witty and tension filled banter between them made this story so captivating and swoon-worthy. Not to mention that the adorable moments between Tobias and Bay had me completely relating to Meyer, I’d be in love with a guy that treated my girl like that too!The heartache-filled secrets they had to overcome, along with their emotional romance, and (eventual) hope-filled passion for each other was truly breathtaking. The obstacles the two characters faced along the way just made their happy ending all the sweeter, plus I’d say they became all the more strengthened and bonded because of them. You can truly experience every intense moment and emotion in each word that Meagan writes. She depicted a perfect balance of strengths, emotions and responsibilities in this characters, giving them real life heartaches and struggles. A truly fantastic job of making these characters come alive on the page.Like I said, I truly enjoyed every word of this book and couldn’t put this story down from the second I received it. This pair of awe-inspiring people/characters are hands down some of the best characters Meagan Brandy has ever written! They are absolute perfection! 👌🏻❤️Long story short, Meagan (as per usual) did such a fantastic job with this novel. Love, love, love this book, and love, love, love this author! It’s no surprise she is one of my all time favourite authors when she writes works of art like this! “Dirty Curve” deserves all the stars and more! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Warm and fuzzies!
I loved this book! Tobias might need to be added to my book boyfriend harem ❤It was unique that it was heavier on Tobias' POV at the beginning. I loved seeing the personal development of the playboy falling in love. I loved Meyer, her resilience and willpower. I loved the plot twist. I listened to it on audio- the narration was great. It made me cry, but it wasn't too heavy. I finished it feeling happy and warm ❤ I would recommend this book!
