Worth it
This was a time and sanity saver when I had to remove the ring from the boot to replace a broken drain hose under it. I am very glad I purchased this even if I never use it again , it was worth it.

Worked as expected.
This is a tool for a very specific purpose changing door seals on front loading washing machines. I liked it had indents to help hold the spring unlike a typical set of snap ring pliers. would. In short it was made for the job and worked as expected.

Had to be modified to function…
The unit shipped quick, arrived on time and was new and appeared to be as described.Beware: one of the tool’s tips may not fit in the spring hole/wire loop.The tips are too “fat” or “thick” or “large in diameter” to function properly on the inner boot spring.I used a Dremel with grinder attachment to make one of the prong tips thinner.I have a LG WM3500CW. One of the inner boot rings was too small to fit this tool’s tip into.There may be a better/different tool for this repair job on this particular washer model, but I searched Amazon for LG and this spring removal tool and this is what came up.

Works great LG WM2101HW
Used to pull and replace spring during pump motor replacement. I'd done the door gasket replacement before with needle nose pliers, etc. and is a pain. With this tool, it was super easy. The finish on the tips was a little rough so could scratch the white paint on the washer if you're not careful, but not an issue. A bit more $ than I'd like to spend for a one (or few) use specialized tool, but would buy again as I know the challenge of doing the job without the tool. Time or $.

For The Do it Yourselfers out there
This was a great but, fixed our own washer because of it and saved over $300.00 to a repair guy. God bless the repair guy but glad parts exist so a few people can do their own if they have the capability.
