Brilliant book for a present for my Dad
My dad was over the moon with his present. It's kept him quiet and he hasn't annoyed mum as much so a worthwhile investment!

Disappointing pastiche
Disappointment treatment of the flow and superficial sections. Anecdotally, the treatment of the Spanish Civil War in a few clinical paragraphs is a joke that would not pass a serious undergraduate level.

Cover was damaged
I ordered this book as a gift for my 10yrs old child. The book provides an engaging and comprehensive overview of history with stunning visuals. Highly recommended. Unfortunately the book cover was damaged when it arrived, so I need to arrange exchange.
