Light and good grip
I wanted to find lighter hiking shoes to replace my existing Merrell Moab 2 shoes. These shoes are definitely light and have great grip. When I took the new shoes out for my first hike, they did feel a little stiff initially, but quickly softened up. I haven't had an opportunity to test out how waterproof these shoes are.A few things to note though:* There is a bit of heel slippage* I typically wear Adidas shoes, but for some reason, these felt a bit larger for a typical size 9 shoe* May not be due to the shoe, but I felt more debris get into the shoe during the hike when compared to my previous Moab 2.

Good Grip and Waterproof
Had Keens for years, Really comfy but even new were slick on wet surfaces. Progressively got worse as they aged. Confidence levels and speed drop when running and hiking when constant fear of slippage is present especially on steep inclines. The Terrx Swift R3s shoes gave me back that confidence. Shoes grip very well on slick rock and wet surfaces. Water proof to the ankles (of course) but was tip toeing through 4" of water with no leaks and dry socks. Great for disc golf too. Great traction when throwing. So good, I just bought a second pair. Only complaint is that they are a little hot and do hold sweat, because, you know, waterproof. Liking these shoes.

Amazing hiking shoe
Bought these for a trip to Iceland, worm them a week before for break in and didn't need it, they are comfortable and fit perfectly, held up great after hiking in rocks, sand and everything the outdoors had to offer, great grip in wet dirt and wet grass on a hill, didn't fall once, didn't slip. My favorite shoes for the outdoors, I don't like hiking boots and these aren't too tall. Kept my feet warm and dry in pure snow and walking in shallow puddles... Love em

Gore-Tex, perfet fit!
Awesome heavy duty Continental rubber soles with arch reinforcement, gore-Tex (Cant bet that)! the size 10 1/2 fits perfectly even though they are not a wide size. Easy on and off, I have stability issues and these low-cut hikers offer great support, with room for insoles if needed.

Good quality shoe!
No real issues with the shoe, it’s always a toss up on size 11.5 or a 12. Ordered a 11.5, an 11.5w would have worked but wasn’t an option. I returned the shoe, refund was prompt within the hour so I ordered a 12.

Great hiking shoes
I have had good luck with previous adidas Terrex hikers, so decided to try the new model. They aren't cheap by any means. I was happy to see they went back to traditional lacing, not the quick laces. When new the bottom tread is super stiff. They break in some after awhile. That stiff sole is perfect when hiking over rocky terrain, as I found out last week in the GSMNP in NC. Waterproofing is great also. Only slight negative is that they are a bit warm in the summer, but not enough of a problem to offset the positives. Oh and I think they look great also. Perfect fit in my normal size of 11.5.

waterproof traction
This is my 4th pair of the Terrex Gore-tex shoes. Every time I get a new pair I have to remember how rigid they are. They feel good though. The waterproofing is great. I can stand in a stream and stay dry (yet walking through wet grass is like magic water that feels like it gets through somehow, same with all gore-tex shoes). I do miss the quick lacing feature of the old models. But tying my shoes is a pretty low burden in the big picture.

Heal slippage
Too much heal slippage, needs another eyelet.
