Great
The Braun MQ9199XL MultiQuick 9 Hand Blender has exceeded my expectations. Its powerful 700-watt motor and ActiveBlade technology make blending tasks effortless, even with tough ingredients. The iMode technology offers precise control, allowing for consistent results every time. I particularly appreciate the variety of attachments, which have made it easy to tackle everything from smoothies to soups. Cleanup is straightforward, and the build quality feels solid and durable. This hand blender has become an indispensable tool in my kitchen.

Stainless steel shaft takes the worries about melting plastic
This replaced my mixer, blender, and food processor. I like it has a stainless steel shaft for blending in pots.

Excellent
Exactly as advertised. No complaints—no issues—no problems. When I purchase any product, I always try and make sure it can do more than one thing (as a co-worker once told me). I’ve been doing it ever since and spending less money on additional or supplemental products, thank God! I’m so pleased with this product/purchase.

It's all good. But it does not beat egg whites to peaks.

Seems to have power -- Updated Review
I have the same complaints on the lack of adequate instructions in the picture book manual. However, after the first use (Not the test run) the safety buttons are useable. Initially they did not work as the photos indicate you push the lit panel which is not a button at all.I cannot wait to find what new textures and flavors I can make wiht this new toy!The tool is pretty much all it says in the display. However, the instructions are many random photos that do not make much sense at all. Several more pages into the manual there is written word referencing 1, 1a, b, 2c. Once you find what it is referring to, start again.Once you figure out which parts to touch to change operation single hand operation is not simple at all. After several tries to get to a low setting, takes 2 hands, then getting set for one hand operation you have to work with the food a little and the thing has reverted to the default settings. There should be a way to defeat the safety mechanism to allow use of the product. Or they need a better design. I finished my project manually. I will try this way overpriced device again but feel certainly I should have bought something else or waited until something useful became available.Don't buy this for your Mom or grandmother unless they played the piano or maybe clarinet. Just to get it to spin is like playing wackamole. Getting it to not be on high or use pulse. Forget it.When you do give it a try have it positioned where you want it to do the work. If you, surprise! get it running and it is not completely down you get a new design on your backsplash and cabinets.I'd give fewer stars, but I really want this thing to work. My imagination for soups using this is endless.

Died within 3 uses briefly whipping cream
Worked great out of the box, ergonomics are good, lots of neat attachments, feels powerful and sturdy, made 1/3 cup whipped cream with the included cup for the kids, disassembled and cleaned according to prescribed methods (don't wet head or gearbox etc). Second use was blending sauce in pan, worked great, cleaned using prescribed method. Third time, whipping cream again, started ok but then "died" every 10 seconds, anemic behavior, at best, thereafter, does the same thing now even when not submerged and having sat for an hour or so. Assume it's overheating, though handle doesn't seem too warm. Contacted Braun, they said they can't troubleshoot the problem and won't honor warranty without live video evidence, weren't interested in helping further. Bought it because of good reviews so this may be an anomaly but premium price, bad experience after so little/ light use and ambivalent customer service aren't really inspiration to stick with Braun. Returning for refund to try Kitchenaide or Vitamix, with crossed fingers.
