I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered. I already had the batteries from my other snow / sun joe machines. This chainsaw is pretty impressive- cut up some smaller trees with ease.My unit was missing a part in the box. Customer service sent a replacement unit out right away.Recommended purchase.

This chain saw is exactly what I need for our lake front property. I need to clear some dead trees and dead fall and the saw works very well cutting through trunks up to 8” in diameter. Easy to use and much quieter than a gas saw. Uses the same battery as my Sno Joe snow blower.

I would give this Product 0 Stars, if that was an option. Very poor, limited (or no) performance, flimsy construction, combined with perhaps the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered on Amazon. I sent this piece of junk back. Avoid, this product and Sun Joe/Sno Joe. Look for a better built, more solid (and safe) chain saw product from a better, more reliable, experienced and accessible manufacturer, preferably one with real customer service. Much better options available. Explore them.

i bought the chainsaw bc it uses the same battery as my lawn mower. it broke after little more than a year with very little use. but that's not my complaint mainly...the threaded nut inside the chain tension adjustment knob seems to be stripped. without that, the chainsaw is useless.a month ago i had a good exchange with their customer service rep, they said they would contact me when the part was available and then silence. i have written 2 subsequent claim requests in the last week and haven't heard back.i've been making do with my black & decker 8-inch pole chainsaw. i regret not buying a B&D chain saw- i have dealt with their customer support, they are quick to communicate & take actions on all service requests: made immediate arrangements for replacement batteries when 2 still under warranty went bad & they replace a drill when the keyless chuck on my drill went bad after a year without delayi realize we are in extraordinary times but...

I ordered this because I already had the battery and charger, due to the fact that I had ordered a SnowJoe snowthrower that used 40v batteries. The batteries are expensive, and compatible. Since I had had to return the Snowblower twice, and it was replaced the 2nd time with a different model, I had a set of batteries left over that I had purchased to be spares. I thought this would solve that problem since if I sold the batteries I wouldn't get my money back.When I assemblied the saw, it took a while but I was finally able to adjust the tension so that I could cut through at least thin branches, I mean like twigs. I've used electric chainsaws before, and I know that they can take more stress than this one does. I haven't returned it yet, because it may be a matter of "learning the saw." I want to like it because it's light, quiet, and I don't have to deal with the smell of gas exhaust. But it's useless if I can't cut any wood.
