Great investment
This product worked beautifully. Took a little bit of time and elbow grease, but was well worth it. We use our fireplace and wood stove regularly so there was quite the buildup, it was very clean once finished.

Worked Great
The square metal chimney brush worked great! The previous owners of our home obviously never swept the chimney and the cost of a professional sweep is crazy. Purchased this brush and some rods to do it ourselves for less than half the cost and now we feel safe using the fireplace. This brush took YEARS of creosote off the chimney! I definitely recommend this chimney brush.

Perfect fit for 13" OD / 11 1/4" ID flue
The brush fit snugly and did a nice job cleaning the ceramic flue. I had used the powdered creosote remover in the last fire burned before cleaning which helped turned any sticky build up to powder. The hardest part was changing the sweep direction from pull to push as the brush got closer to the top of our 20+ foot chimney but that was due to the flexing rods. It was also awkward at first to get the large brush through the damper door but it went once I pushed just the brush in before attaching the first rod.

Item arrived on time, was of great quality, but it was too big for our use. Reordered a smaller one.

Worked well
Worked OK, but after first use some of the wires let loose and that's a bit disappointing for the price they charge.

great product
I bought this and was skeptical because of previous reviews. I found out this is the same brush the chimney guys use and from previous negative reviews i thought i would try it. Think of a grill you cant make one pass and expect it to be clean. This brush works wonderfully and would advise anyone wanting to save money to purchase this im a first time user and ver y very very pleased

Don't waste your money
Totally ineffective and a waste of money -- the wire bristles (about as effective as nylon bristles on a toothbrush) were too flexible and thin (both in gauge and quantity) to remove the creosote adhered to the terra cotta chimney flue sections. After about 30 minutes of use, it did stir up the powdery soot/dust and knock off the smallest of creosote "flakes" (that were about ready to fall off anyhow); but if you expect to remove significant portions of the creosote caked to your terra cotta chimney flue, buy a product that has thicker-gauged and less flexible bristles.
