FluxTech - Wi-Fi Smart Dimmable CCT Colour G9 Bulb x Pack 2

I was a bit wary about purchasing this bulb as some of the reviews were less than positive to say the least. However, I took the plunge and I'm glad I did. I have an outside porch light and I needed a smart bulb to allow me to setup an on/off schedule via Alexa. Firstly, the price. These bulbs don't come cheap and only time will tell whether they last and are good value for money. I've only had them a day so it's too early to tell. Another reviewer stated that this bulb was too large for their setup. My porch light is a small, round flush light and fortunately the bulb fitted perfectly. I certainly had doubts about whether it would fit. The setup instructions were just about OK but in places they were out of date and the English is less than perfect. I had to repeat the setup several times as the "Smart Life" app wouldn't communicate with the bulb. After a few attempts, it suddenly worked. I still don't know what I did differently. I then linked the bulb to Alexa and everything appears to be working perfectly. It's just what I wanted. UPDATE: The bulb has completely failed after less than 11 months use. Even the cheap bulbs I have used in other parts of the house have lasted far longer than this. If these bulbs only last 11 months then it's going to get expensive. Very poor durability indeed. They do not last and they are not good value for money. 2ND UPDATE: The second bulb in the pack lasted 7 months before failing and I thought the first one was bad!

When functional the associated App works well but too often when I try to open the App all I get is a blank screen

Bulb is significantly larger than a standard G9 fitting - as such it does not fit into the shades we have.Set up and control with the app is easy - just beware of the dimensions.

It's a bit tricky to set up but the product is good once you have accomplished this. However, there is a huge issue as the product does not work with a dimmer switch. And given that this is a "dimmer" product, this should be clearly referenced.

These FluxTech Smart G9 Bulbs are the exception considering how difficult they are to find.I moved from Hue E14's with new wall light purchase.Thankful these G9 Smart's are purchasable.Light Levels are Very Good, I used recommended Smart Life App and tried Amazon Echo Dot.Smart Life works as expected, Echo App not yet 100% control though getting there.Overall both Apps little less intuitive than Philips Hue.Though Light Levels Colours and Dimming work reasonably well.Other reviewers are correct as little light shades don't cover these G9 Smarts unlike the Non Smart G9'sThat's a Minor Point.
