Nice Reel
Reel looks and feels really nice. Very light weight. There some finish issues in the knob for the spool and the drag but really not a big deal given the price point. Really you’re paying for the look and style of the reel. The price point is relatively high compared to others on Amazon, but just below other reels with a sealed drag. So kind of an awkward price point but if you like the look, go for it. Haven’t fished with it yet but I’m sure it’ll fish well. Will update my review once I do

Great looking reel with a solid feel.
Just got it but absolutely love the look and feel of the reel. Very lite in the hand. Quality craftmanship so far. Hopefully holds up to the punishment better than my last plastic reel did. I feel like I got my moneys worth.

Really great reel
I've had this out maybe 5x so far and I've caught about 45 trout. It reels smooth and the drag works great. No problem even with a 5lb rainbow trout. Highly recommend.

What a nice surprise
I wanted an inexpensive 5-6wt reel for my 12 year old daughter to mess with and not worry about dropping a $200 reel on the rocks or over the side of the boat while she is learning. I ordered 3 different cnc budget reels but non of them would hold 100 yds of backing. This was the fourth and the only one that didn't go back. I need 100 yds backing because it's not uncommon to hook a large summer steelhead on the Rogue River, she has landed several 6-10 lbers on bait caster with ease. I got 110 yds on it in front of 90 yd Rio WFF mid grade line and a long tippet. Will the drag handle a fall Chinook? No, but it will easily handle a 10-12 lb Steelie. Amazing machine work, finish etc for less than the price of a spare spool.

Junk.
The reel body doesn't fit tightly into the reel housing, allowing fly line to get stuck.Would not recommend this reel.

It's got some positives, but it wont do what the seller says can be done.
Like it's weight and smoothness of movement, which is an advantage in picking up fly line quickly. It' is also a pretty reel. Buy don't expect any help from mfg in trying to switch the retrieve to right hand. As far as I can see, it can't be done. You can loosen the drag knob so that it will behave like a right hand retrieve, but then you are left with no drag. If seller can give a detailed explanation how to convert from LH to RH, I'll change my review.

The best Maxcatch reel so far but pricey.
A real large arbor and decent capacity. Lightweight and smooth. From the picture it looked like it was two reels for the price making it a good value. I asked and Amazon quickly replied it was 2 reels. After I got it and found it was only 1 reel, I thought about sending it back because of the misinformation I got from Amazon. However I needed a large reel for some 10 wt line so I spooled it up and tested it out. It is a nice reel but at that price (over $100 for the 9-11} it should have an extra spool or a sealed drag like the Pisifun Aoka or Matcatch Gaze. I would have given it 5 stars if it was cheaper or had a sealed drag.
