THE NORTH FACERecon Backpack, Tin Grey Dark Heather/Tnf Black/Minimal Grey, One Size

I love this backpack. I’m in nursing school and all the pockets are so perfect for quick access to everything I need. I stuff it full and everything has held up great.

The laptop dimensions listed on the description (the actual height and width) are wrong. My laptop is within those measurements and I couldn't zip the compartment closed. Waste of time and my resources purchasing and having to return.

The media could not be loaded.  Just trying to upgrade from my Osprey Daylite Plus 20L that's still a fantastic backpack but I needed something close to a 30L to be able to hold a little more and not feel so constricted as I travel international from USA to Asia and needs to fit under seat without issues. I notice the Recon in men's but the demensions were just not were I like it to be so I decided to get the woman's Recon and this fits my needs perfect. I realize not many are fond of compression straps but I like the minimalistic look when packing alot or not and still look slim and not bulky when used in this manner. This backpack and my Osprey are very alike in demensions and even the shoulder straps looks similar, just the Recon is 30L and has a separate compartment just for your laptop. The 30L I believe is not correct but more around 28L. I found some quality issues with this about the stitching in two areas that I know will lead to a bigger problem in time as for the rest of the stitching looks great when examining the backpack. First impression do make a difference so I decided to return instead of getting a replacement and found an Osprey Comet 30L that is perfect for my needs and QC pass inspection... In the future I'll try again with a North Face brand. I hope this review doesn't stop you from getting one as I do like the setup.
