A: The other answer is incorrect, these speakers are for a 15" MacBook Pro, not a 13". I just looked up your serial # online and you have a 13" MacBook. Therefore, these speakers WILL NOT fit and are incorrect for your MacBook. Amazon also sells speakers for 13" MacBooks, so just look it up. Good luck!

A: Not sure but when I realized all that was necessary to replace it I sent it back and purchased an external speaker powered from one of the USB ports.

DO NOT BUY. The left speaker didn’t work and the right speaker is tinny and cheap sounding. There are only 4 pin connectors when they should be six. No bass in the set up. Just really badly sounding treble. The screw drivers supplied also were not as pictured. Cheap plastic and soft metal. They just failed half way through the install. Total waste of time and money.
