The battery can run more than 5 years. You can search on YouTube video of how to change the YoLink water sensor's battery and can find the videos. Thanks! **Q: Is this a dumb proprietary system or does it ingrate with smart home technologies, ie Z-wave Zigbee etc?** A: It is not Zigbee, WiFi or Z-Wave wireless technologies, all these wireless technologies only work for short range. The YoLink system use the longest wireless range and lower power consumption. It works with the YoLink hub and can be integrate to other system through the Alexa routines, IFTTT or YoLink's API. Thanks! **Q: Do you have any water leak sensors that have audio as well as the app reminder? Or are these just app reminders?** A: These 3 pack leak sensors don't have build in audio sound. We have YoLink water leak sensor 2 which has build in sound, both them have app push notifications, emails and text message for leak alert. **Q: What frimware version do you have on these D or E? Tx** A: Mine came with 030E installed. The sensors I bought previously had 030D installed and still aren't being offered the 030E update even though they are the exact same model number. I picked up this 3 pack to cover the rest of the house and it was a no brainer. Setup took minutes, they synced right up, and now every risk area is covered. Under sinks, water heater, laundry, you name it. These things catch leaks fast and alert you within seconds through the app. Pair that with the automatic shut off and you are basically shutting down problems before they turn into expensive lessons. The range is legit too. No signal issues, no drop offs, just solid performance. At this point, if water gets loose in my house, it is going to have a bad day not me. Bottom line, if you already have the system, do not cut corners.
