Q: What diameter are these straws?

These straws are 5/16 of an inch diameter. That makes them slightly larger than McDonald's or Burger King's milkshake straws which are about 1/4 of an inch, and they are about twice as long as a regular milkshake straw. I think they were designed to use in a drinking game called 'volcano' where several people are drinking alcoholic beverages from one container. I bought them for my mother who is 85 with Parkinson's so she could keep a drink in her lap instead of holding it. I just trimmed them down to the length I wanted.

Haven't found clear ones. These are great! They are flexible and the colors are fun!!

Q: they say flexible does that mean they bend?

they are designed to bend on one end. Also, be aware that although they are listed as being 17 inches, they are actually more like 24 inches long.

Q: will they glow in blacklight?

Yes, they glow under blacklight!
