Excellent Subwoofer-Poor shipping.
This subwoofer is imported for Monoprice in California. When I ordered from Amazon it came out of North Carolina to my location. Must have went across US twice. It came in damaged. Called to get another one and they said it would come out of NC as well. Called after a week and they said it was coming out of Washington. Finally received after almost a month. Amazing subwoofer-highly recommended

Thunderous!
This monster is so massive and heavy that it wouldn't fit in an Amazon Locker. Bummer. It was delivered by 2 WWF heavyweights who complained bitterly that I'd subjected them to terrible abuse. Thankfully, they were too exhausted to throw me over the ropes, so I was able to lock the door before they recovered.I could only afford this monstrosity when it went on a significant sale. The shipping package is very impressive and the subwoofer's design and build quality is absolutely rock solid, inside and out. But why pick a sub this massive? Unbelievable performance... An astoundingly flat frequency response, all the way down below 20Hz, and incredibly low harmonic distortion, which most subwoofers in this price bracket are unable to attain. I was looking for tight, musically accurate bass (not intrusive and boomy), and this beast delivers at any volume level. Look for the professional review on the Audioholics website.Note, of course, that every room has its own acoustical properties. Sound reflections off walls, floors and ceilings create standing waves, resulting in audible peaks and nulls at any seating position in the room, so a fair amount of work is required to find the best sub placement, main speaker placement, seating position and acoustical treatments to arrive at the flattest and smoothest response throughout the entire audio range. It is advisable to generate frequency sweeps or steps, then measure the response at the listening position. This is far more accurate than tuning by ear. Software and equipment is available to make this process quicker and easier. Room EQ Wizard (REW) is one of the gold standards. Some people will go to great lengths and great expense to aim for perfection, while others will call it good when it sounds good enough to their ears, and that's okay. When properly calibrated to the room and the rest of the sound system, the subwoofer should not overwhelm the audio. It should not be prominent in the soundstage until the soundtrack requires it. Then this sub will blow you away. A loud explosion can truly be FELT as well as heard! The 16Hz tone of the world's biggest pipe organs can be felt as a pressure wave rather than sound, and this sub flexes the windows, easily reproducing such a presence with accuracy. Few subs can reach so low without distortion or boominess.

Endgame subwoofer
I got this right before the "supply chain crisis" that led almost ALL companies to raise their prices. This subwoofer exceeds all expectations at this price & makes SVS subwoofers feel like over priced, over-hyped products for fools. This subwoofer doesn't have bluetooth, app control or any of the other gimmicks. It's pretty much straight edge. You set the controls to your liking, place it a spot and forget about it. Till it rattles your house foundation!Pro tip: Get the sound isolation feet from SVS that come in six pack. You'll definitely need those for this sub. It's an excellent product that will totally change the way you hear and feel the base from a subwoofer.I played several 4K movies at THX reference levels with this subwoofer performing like a champ! (Try "Fury" using this sub. You'll fully understand what I mean.)Cheers to all the folks involved in creating this product. It definitely feels and sounds like a passionate team worked on this project!

POWERFUL Sub
Had an SVS PB16 that had a intermittent faulty power supply. I replaced it with this. NO REGRETS. This is a better unit and saved $$

Fantastic and versatile sub
This sub is even better than the svs pb13. Compared this single sub against 2 12 inch subs and this plays like 2 15 inch subs. Best single powered sub on the market.

It’s a beast
I bought two of these to replace two Klipsch R-112sw’s. You can see the picture to see the size comparison. These are huge. The description says they weigh 100lbs. They actually weigh 150lbs. The driver itself weighs 50 lbs. which is more the the entire Klipsch subwoofer. The dimensions are wrong too. You can look them up elsewhere for the true dimensions. Make sure you do to make sure they will fit the room you want them in. These are better then the Klipsch’s in every way. But in defense of the Klipsch’s, they were a 1/4 of the price. The Monolith’s produce very clean bass with very little distortion. These aren’t your typical boomy movie explosion boxes, like many subwoofers. They are very clean and do very well with music and movies. Where they set themselves apart is their ability to play low frequencies at high spl levels. You don’t hear low frequencies, you feel them. It adds a whole different dimension that I’ve never experienced and I’ve owned many subwoofers over the years. As a matter of fact, I have a wet bar in the back of my theater room. After listening to them for a few hours, I opened my cabinet to get a glass out and unfortunately, one came crashing out when I opened the cabinet door. You’ve been warned! If you do research, you’ll find Monolith, SVS and a handful of other subwoofers manufacturers that are loved by home theater enthusiasts. Don’t think that you have to match your tower brand when getting a subwoofer. Most great floor speaker brands make mediocre subwoofers. You wouldn’t think of a $1600 subwoofer as a bang for the buck, but it definitely is. This and their 16inch model are their newest subwoofers and they kicked it up a notch with them. They have more powerful amps and are nicer cosmetically. Lastly, my teenage daughters friends are in awe of the sound these produce. They love these subwoofers and teenage girls aren’t a known demographic for subwoofers! Lol! These are the ultimate accessory to any man cave! Highly recommend!
