I ordered two of these for my male and female Pug. I ordered both of them the same size, XS. The muzzle fit on my male Pug, but was too big for my female Pug. I reached out to the company who sold the product and they allowed me to receive a second muzzle in a smaller size at no cost and not return the first one I ordered. I found their customer service to be beyond what is normal or even expected. But the product is very well made and works as advertised. I would recommend these to any one, but getting the right size is so important. I encourage you to put a lot of time into measuring before you order.

My Shih Tzu is too hairy around the eyes for him to use this for the long process of grooming. I’m bummed cause I like the little pumpkin colored muzzle. Every other part of this is amazing, the construction is great and the rest of it seems really comfortable. He just kept blinking and blinking and blinking so back it goes, but I recommend it for less fuzzy eyed dog.

This is only for a flat faced dog. A Morkie could not wear it. It is nice quality and would work great for a French bulldog.

It does not fit a shih tzu.

Been looking for a mask to train my dog to stop nibbling on her poop, I bought a XXS for my shihzu. 1st day she managed to pulled it off, I then adjusted the straps to as small as possible, and kept monitoring her that she wouldn’t pull it off, with in between breaks for her to eat, drink water and play. On one occasion where I had to leave mask on ( after she ate) while I cleaned house, she came into kitchen nibbling on the clasp! This mask did not make it to 3 weeks!

I'm writing this review to help others determine the proper size to order if you have a pug. My pug is about 22 lbs with a very flat face. The XS size fits her perfectly when the strap is adjusted to the smallest level. It appears to be comfortable on her and it stays on. I needed this in case my Vet's office had a problem cutting little Sadie's nails. She will not let me do it but will allow strangers to do it. So, this item, for me, is just for wearing for a few minutes and not long term. But, putting a muzzle on a pug seems to be about the same as putting a muzzle on a stuffed teddy bear. Also, the same size muzzle will fit my other pug (Olive) if I loosen the strap a little bit and she also has a very flat face and weighs about 24 lbs. Hope this review helps others.

I understand creating a face muzzle for certain breeds of dogs may be challenging but this one was not a good fit for my Shih Tzu . The muzzle appears to confine his facial mobility entirely. Did it stop the barking....yes but my dog whined and was uncomfortable. I plan to dispose or donate the muzzle.

I’m not sure if he feels defeated or if it’s just really comfy but either way, it’s working! My Shih Tzu is a biter to other people and animals and this allows us to be out and about, safely! It’s soft, light & fits him really well for the times we are around others.

Great product. Used it on a shitzu. While clipping nails. Dog remained calm, so procedure was a great success.

It said it was compatible but it clearly only works for pugs with wider faces

Very lightweight and flimsy. Although it fit his face, he shook his head a few times and it fell off despite attaching it as securely as possible.
