I can't really say nothing bad about this wood burner, other then it does lose heat but other then that works perfectly. First time user and I can't complain.. if you wanna get into wood burning this would be the starting point..

I have not had it long, but I have done a few projects. I like the feel and control of the dual burners. They do not get hot on my fingers. They are easy to let cool in the holders. Changing from one to another is easy. And the dial has good control of temperature.

I have been doing pyrography for over 30 years and I have seen the wire one and at the time they were very expensive and learned to used the everyday wood burning tool. These wire tools are a game changer! I love it!

I have gone through 4 cheaper pyrography tools, and this is my first professional kit. It is INCREDIBLE! It burns so hot that the metal recovers faster after it touches wood so it stays hot and burns off residue almost instantly, leaving your lines more accurate. And the handle doesn't get hot at all -- it's very comfortable to use. I highly recommend!! UPDATE -- 3 DAYS LATER: I almost called in sick to work today so I could stay home and play with my new toy all day! This kit is amazing...the detail you can get is SO much better than the pen-style solid ended pyrography tools I have used in the past. This is a fantastic tool!
