Simple installation and LEGO put into the building of the LEGO RollerCoaster the gear this connects to making the LEGO set fun to use and play

I am replacing my early 80s Set# 8700 motor, which has seen better days. My decision came down to the PF-M vs PF-L motors. Ultimately, it is for my 5 year old (and me, lol), so I am starting with the M. I love it and my son loves it. It is very mighty for its size and it's perfect for beginning level applications - it's almost too much power for simple creations, but over time, its full potential can be used. I also like that the M motor has a bottom plate that can be used to connect to bricks (in addition to holes for studless construction.

I have looked for this motor for awhile because I wanted to motorize my LEGO Roller Coaster set and this does the job and works great.

Pros: it's a motor that makes your legos move!Cons: the wires are flimsy. I've bout four motors, only two of them still work and I'm pretty sure it has to do with the cables.

I purchased this item to motorize the Lego Roller Coaster. It works very well. I am pleased.

I use this to power my Lego Ferris wheel. I'm ordering a second to power my new Lego Roller Coaster! Well worth the investment and WAY better than turning by hand crank.
