Ironically Bluetooth audio is NOT affected, repeat Bluetooth audio works perfectly worth the same device while connected to the GoPoint BT1. I own two iPhones and the one not connected to the BT1 doesn't get any interference.I would suggest the cable version if calls are a must and when owning a single smart phone, if not this device is perfectEdit:Using it on a car with out Bluetooth radio and a FM Stereo Bluetooth device to answer calls and listen to iPhone music and the BT1 does not cause any interference with either calls or playing music. It only interferes with the car with Bluetooth radio (oem) while answering calls, and not while playing music.Update: It's 2017, 4 years have passed, and this device is working absolutely flawlessly. With the points given by my credit card I got a free iPod Touch (the one that looks like the iPhone 5, but slimmer) and I have placed it on my dash to be part of the instruments already available. First I am thrilled that it works like a charm. I use it with Harry's Lap Timer and/ or Track Addict of which both connect flawlessly and do what I need it to do... connect easy and stream my selected channels of OBDII data. It also beeps when it is active, so that is also a nice feature. I am sad as I originally had a MX WiFi unit that has been spotty at best, so a good number of runs without data.So, overall--- it is a good unit. Currently, there is a limited number of apps that can utilize data. Aside from the ones by gopoint the only one out there is dashcommand, which may or may not appeal to you depending on how technical you want to get.
