Fits 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Great!
I just installed this in my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a JVC Bluetooth In-Dash Digital Media Receiver with Dual USB Ports . The JVC stereo fit the Metra 99-6504 perfectly, and the entire installation was completed in less than 2-hours, start to finish. This dash kit perfectly matches the stock Cherokee trim, and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.A NOTE TO THOSE SAYING THIS KIT DID NOT FIT THEIR AFTERMARKET STEREO:When I first opened this dash kit I was shocked to discover that my JVC head unit would not slide into the DIN opening - it wasn't even close. Then, after researching a little more, I realized this is an ISO only mount. BE AWARE that this kit will NOT allow for the "slide in" mounting style with your stereo's mounting sleeve. An ISO only mount means you must install the stereo from the REAR of the dash kit (before mounting it into the dash), with the side mounting brackets and screws (I had to buy the screws separately at Home Depot). You should NOT have to dremel or reshape your kit! Also, keep in mind that these types of dash kits typically require the REMOVAL of the trim bezel on your aftermarket stereo. The trim bezel is often times pre-installed by the manufacturer, which adds to the confusion. If you do not remove the stereo's trim bezel - it will not fit in an ISO mount. On my JVC X50BT, there was a thin trim ring on the face of the head unit that just popped right off. Once I figured out the bezel issue, and the side brackets, the install was a breeze. One more thing, you'll need a few M5x8mm screws (not included) to mount the JVC stereo in an ISO manner.Check my uploaded photos to see what a proper install looks like with an ISO only mount. I hope this helps solve the problems/confusion some others were having regarding the fit of this kit.

Fits like a glove
Another popular online stereo outfitter whose name is like crutches recommended Metra's 99-6503 kit for my 2005 Chrysler Town & Country Limited. However, that part did not fit perfectly. It had gaps in the corners. I went to Amazon and found this kit, the Metra 99-6504. It fit perfectly, no gaps, and had a bonus storage slot for small items. With the new aftermarket stereo and Android Auto support, I don't need to have my phone handy while driving anymore. I think I have found a convenient new place in my center dashboard to store my phone while I'm driving. I highly recommend this kit.

Gives aftermarket radio an almost factory like fit and appearance.
I have installed aftermarket stereo units in cars before but this is the first time I purchased a mounting kit that was specifically made for my vehicle. With a few modifications it fit perfectly. I have a Sony head unit and with the removal of a few of the plastic trim pieces the Metra dash kit perfectly leaving no gaps or spaces and looks very nice. I also purchased the Metra wiring adapter for my vehicle and from start to finish I was done in about 2 hours. I took the time to solder the wiring adapter to my Sony unit as well as use heat shrink on the wiring for a good solid trouble free install and after I figured out that I needed to remove a couple of pieces off my Sony unit this allowed me to connect my unit and mount it in the dash very easily.

Looks great but required modification
As noted in another review, this is an ISO mount, not a DIN style mount. The stereo slides in from behind and any cages or mounting adapters your stereo came with will not be used. Since the stereo face sits roughly flush with the mounting bracket, it makes for a much cleaner look, so this is what I wanted. It makes changing out the stereo a bit harder since you have to remove the whole bracket instead of just sliding the stereo out, but I change my stereo out so infrequently and the Jeep dash disassembles so easily, I figured the look outweighed the convenience. The bracket fit my '04 Jeep Wrangler perfectly. The side brackets that mount the stereo to face are oddly attached, they rely on the stereo itself to hold them in place. It seems a little flimsy, but it does the job. There are no included screws, so hopefully you have some lying around. I don't know the standard sizes, but my stereo had the sizes stamped in the casing. What didn't fit perfectly was the stereo itself, however. The corners of the bracket opening are slightly rounded and my older Clarion stereo has a much more squared face-plate. I had to file the corners square just to get the face through the opening, and even after that the opening was tight enough that the I couldn't remove the faceplate from the stereo once installed. There's enough extra material around the opening on the bracket that I was able to file it a bit larger in order to get the necessary clearance. After that little bit of modification, it fit perfectly. The tray, the main reason I bought this adapter, is pretty slim. It just barely fits my 5th gen iPod classic with its sleeve if I stick it in sideways. The plastic gives a little bit, and I'm guessing that's intentional to help grip what's shoved in there. The plastic is pretty smooth, so anything that doesn't "wedge" itself in would probably slide right out the first time you took off from a stop. My smartphone is too thick to fit, but it does have a physical keyboard so it's a tad bit thicker than most smartphones. Additionally, the tray has several pre-cut holes in the back. If you have a stereo with a rear USB or auxiliary input, you could easily run your cabling out through the tray. You could also easily lose any small USB drives through those same holes, so be careful.Final verdict: it looks great installed with a bit of modification depending on your stereo, and you may or may not be able to fit something useful in the tray.

Does not fit a single din radio without cutting.
Fits perfect in a jeep wrangler however the mount required significant cutting with a dremel to fit a single din radio. Apparently there is something called ISO mount single din which I'm guessing would have fit.The front of this mount is curved so the radio did not sit flush, overall it was a very frustrating experience and I'm sure I'll have to buy something else to replace it in the near future.

ISO Install works for 2007 Dodge Caravan SE.
Thanks to A.K. for his description of the ISO install method! My Boss 508UAB deck had a metal sheath around it, and at first I thought this dash kit was the wrong model because the deck did not slide in from the front. But after reading A.K.'s instructions for an ISO install, I removed the front bezel and the metal sheath from the deck, then with firm pressure I pushed the deck into the opening from the rear of the dash kit. The fit is a bit tight, and the thin bezel over the CD slot bent downward by a tiny amount, but the deck did fit flush with the opening of the dash kit and the holes on the 2 plastic brackets that came with the dash kit lined up properly with the screw holes on the deck (see pics). My deck did not come with any screws to bolt the 2 plastic brackets in place but I'm sure I can find some in my workshop or at Home Depot. Bottom line, the dash kit did work for my 2007 Dodge Caravan SE. I am giving this 4 stars because the fit seems a bit too tight and is affecting the CD bezel, but your deck may not have the same issue. Now I just have to wait for some nice spring weather to install the deck.
