Went from Free 3.0+'s to these, not fully impressed

So flashback to a few years ago when Vibram 5 Fingers were exploding in popularity. I have knee and ankle issues, but need to run due to my job. I heard all these great things about barefoot style running and how people with similar issues to me were having less pain due to these shoes. Two of my toes were broken in the past and unfortunately I could not wear the Vibrams. It was suggested to me that I try the "new" Nike Free Runs as an alternative. Not only did they mitigate most of my pain, but I found myself wearing them as day to day shoes and absolutely loving them.So I just wore out my 5th pair of Free's and the only complaint I've really had these past few years is how even dew on the grass would soak through the toes. When I saw this version I thought they would be perfect.I've only had these shoes for a little over a week and can say that while they are more comfortable than other running shoes, they do not feel as great as my previous Free's.They are slightly heavier/less flexible. The coloring and reflective bits were slightly worn straight out of the box and have been shedding over the last few days. And finally they are slightly smaller than the previous Free's. I wear an 11 and while I feel an 11.5 would be too big in these, the 11's are borderline too small. 11's in the previous Frees fit perfect. The water resistance is excellent, and I'm relearning how to run with these since the tread is slightly stiffer. I would not buy these again, and will be moving back to the standard Free's the next go around.

Nice but wearing out in toe

Love these light sneakers! They fit under the bones in my ankles. Something that prevents me from buying so many sneaker brands and styles... The only complaint is that right at the end on top of the toe the green is starting to show through the black part. I haven't done anything, like carrying weights or move furniture with my toes..lol so I don't know why it's wearing out there.. But other than that, they fit great.UPDATE:This is a one month later. I also have about 5 or 6 other pairs of sneakers, FYI, so I don't wear these that much, even though, when I do, it could be for a week at a time. I FINALLY noticed something weird about these sneakers. I'm a busy person, and I don't really go into detail about products usually, nor do I look at my feet that much..lolBUT: The laces go from the toe to the ankle diagonally, For example, on your right foot, if you look down, they start on the left side of your foot (by the toe) and go toward the outside of your leg (by ankle)... I'm not sure if this is an intentional "design" or if these were seconds, but I find it kind of strange, and not the most aesthetically pleasing, it looks like your feet are wider than they are. But other than that, they still are comfortable, very comfortable. I just hope people aren't looking at me feet wondering what that's all about. And I wanted to let people know about it.

    Not really feeling it.

I have a few pairs of Nike shoes. I own the NIKE FREE RUN in yellow. These are + Shield which I guess is water resistant. I love the Free Runs. I almost think that these are a knock off of the originals? They are made in China. The other pair is made in Vietnam. All of my Nike shoes say NIKE on the Tongue of the shoe. This pair does not say NIKE on the Tongue and the fit is not the same. They basically look the same and they are also very light in weight. I am not positive. Everything else seems identical. The fit is significantly different. The Bottom line is if I bought this pair before I would not buy a second pair. Besides the color of my first pair, why do they fit different? Why don't they say NIKE on them? OK these are Free Run 3's I guess the pair I own are Free Run #1 the serial # or item is 510642-706(my first pair) The blue pair is number 536840-404 and I do not like them as much.
