The fine folks at Etekcity used to pay for good reviews and I always wondered why. I have yet to find any of their products I would hesitate giving 5 stars to. This lamp is excellent. It has adjustable light levels and can move to where I want light. I use it to help me sew and quilt. The lamp is light enough and has a heavy enough base that even at the extremes I sometimes need it does not tip. The base is far enough away from my sewing machine that there is plenty of room for fabric, even when I am working on a fairly large quilt. It took me just a minute to figure out the settings and switches, then I broke down and scanned the instructions. It was all easy from there. I especially enjoy the automatic shut off. I set it to remind me when to quit and take a break. If you need good desk top light with just the right light in just the right place, this is a good choice.

Great light. Four different color temperatures and the brightness of each is easily adjustable. It's solidly built and can be folded up to take up very little space. My only complaints are as follows:1. The timer feature for automatically turning off the lamp can only be set for 60 minutes. It would be nice if this could be set for variable times like 30 min, 1 hour, and 2 hours. This is really not a big deal and were this my only issue, the lamp would have 5 stars.2. The lamp doesn't have the best freedom of movement. The bottom arm has a range of motion of about 45 degrees from vertical to forward. The top arm has a range of motion of about 135 degrees from folded into the bottom arm to 45 degrees shy of flat. This is well and good if the lamp is close to where you want it to shine, but not if you want the light to directly shine onto something more than 50 cm from the base.That being said, for sub $30, this feels like complaining for the sake of it

I chose this lamp after reading a lot of reviews of lamps! I purchased the white one, and it is awesome. It has a large, solid base, where items can be 'stored', like glasses, post-it notes, etc. I love how adjustable it is. The variety of different types of lighting, along with brightness adjustability, makes this the perfect light. I use it on my desk, but not next to my bed. My only complaint is that it was a bit difficult to screw in the lamp to the base and have it line up straight - took several attempts to get it lined up to face straight ahead (ended up off to the side several times). I also liked how I received a customer service email from the company checking in with me to see if I had questions or issues.

This is a pretty nice lamp. It has three lighing "Mood" settings (i.e., book reading, writing, and incandescent mode), and within each of those settings, you can further adjust the light intensity by three steps, from low, to medium, to high. Everything works through lightly touching the controls (no buttons to push), the base is nice and heavy, and there is a USB port in the side of the lamp for charging your devices using your own, device UBS charging cord. Finally, the lamp folds away and is quite compact when not in use.

Bulb died 9 months after purchase. Since bulb isn't replaceable, the whole thing goes into the landfill. This is environmentally irresponsible as well as very inconvenient.

The light switches have gone crazy. It won’t turn all the way off. And it suddenly turns itself back on. The buttons will work for a minute or two and then it’ll just switch from the dentist to brightest. I would unplug it right now except I have my USB phone charging. So the wiring inside is poorly made. If they read this and decide to replace it right. Other than that I really can’t recommend this if there is another choice on the market.

I had high hopes for this lamp but it's disappointed me.I loved the idea of having the power cord right on the side of the lamp so I can plug my phone in conviently -- I realized that it has to be on the right side of my bed then in order for the cord to work. That's fine and not a big deal -- I wish I could adjust the top part more. you can't straighten or angle the top very much. And When I do try to move the base a little bit it will unscrew from the base. I also don't really like the tones of the lamp colors... I prefer the warmer light but it's still that tungsten orange glow... IIt would be better as an office lamp versus as a bedside table lamp.

This is one wonderful lamp! I had purchased a string of LEDs to mount under my sewing machine and found my OTT-Lites just weren't bright enough anymore. I replaced one with this light and am going to replace my other office lights with these, too. The ability to have several different types of light (from bright white to night light) and then, dim those individual lights is very neat ... I use the bright white mostly when sewing. This light made it so I could see everything I was doing. The only 'disappointment' is that the head doesn't swivel (the light that I saw which does swivel was $70) but the entire light swivels at the base while the joints move up/down so it actually worked just fine! Would definitely recommend and as mentioned, plan to purchase more. Great product, especially for the price.
