Very well designed specifically for hitting the back muscles that run along side the spine with the key detail of having a channel that does not put direct pressure on the spine bone itself. The narrowness of it makes it really dig into the muscles unlike a regular wide foam roller that is wider and spreads out the pressure. I still use my regular foam roller but the Chirp hits that really good spot around your spine. The Chirp can crack your back, but I feel like that not made for that. A regular foam roller will do that just fine. This is a pin point tool to target the long mucles that run along the spine. The quality feel pretty good but I can feel it flexing a decent amount. Being made of plastic, albeit, high quality plastic, I can see it will probably break from going thru the stress cycles of flexing from daily use. I plan to find a piece of dense foam to fill the hole. If the engineers ever decide to place a round piece of steel to reinforce the plastic, that would be amazing and also probably double the cost. ^_^

I absolutely love it. I had an injury and rolling my back and legs out daily have completely changed my recovery for the better! I like the way it fits the curve of my spine, and that it’s medium soft. It’s also very portable while traveling.

I usually don't write reviews, but I noticed quite a bit of negative ones on this. I own both the 10" and 6" chirp wheels. 6" definitely gets in there a bit more, but the 10" is definitely good if you're not sure. I have used foam rollers and it is not exactly the same, it definitely more concentrated on your spine. Overall, if you're looking for a miracle cure to back pain this won't necessarily be it but it definitely helps. If you use it everyday it can keep you from being in as much pain, or in my case I just use it when my back is extremely tense and I remember I have this bad boy. If it hurts its just because your muscles are really tense, but no worse than getting a massage. The 6" is known to possibly break, but Chirp will basically always replace it if you go to their website. I definitely don't regret my purchase and it costs the same amount as one visit to the chiropractor. I use it as more of an emergency back up for when my back is causing me issues and I can't exactly see the chiropractor at 10 pm.

I love this, works great for rolling out my back, especially the upper back between my shoulder blades. I work a desk job so there is pain and tension in my upper back but this roller helps a lot. My back feels almost brand new. Expensive but worth it considering that I use it so often.

Update:After working with the warehouse at Chirp, they sent out a new roller! I really missed the relief that this roller brings. I modified it in order to strengthen it. I love a lot of pressure but only weigh 225 mostly muscle. I glued a 6 inch foam roller through the middle and viola! I think this will last now.What can I say, I’m a self therapy enthusiast and have narrowed down the vast array of products available. I was really excited to try this product based on its design and my need to fill a gap in my arsenal. I use to utilize a Chiropractor 2 twice a month for years and it made a huge difference in my backs mobility and headaches. I began to crave the relief that the “cracking” of my spine would bring, more accurately the release of pressure in my vertebrae. This roller from the start did as I anticipated and relieved the vertebrae pressure, YAY! Perfect addition until, it cracked after less then a month of use. 😒😞 I’m not heavy and have quite a lot of experience using products like these, the pinpoint pressure roller you see in the back of the pic is built the same way and I have been using it for years with out a problem. Maybe I got a weak mold or something. As I look a little closer, I’m concerned they went to thin on the plastic. For the price, they could’ve definitely added a little more thickness. I’m going to return this one and maybe I’ll give it another shot. If I do, I really hope this doesn’t happen again. I really wanted to love this roller.
