A well engineered improvement on an age-old apparatus!
For purposes of comparison, I have included photos of this clip with another clip that I have used in the past. I am not an engineer and did NOT review these as part of any promotion, nor am I doing an assignment for any writing course. No AI was used. I wanted to do a thorough review and I hope that is what follows.I'll start by saying that I like these little clothespins. They are more like medium duty in function, but I suppose their construction could be evaluated as heavy duty for this genre of tool. I do find that I need to double them up here and there out on the line. I like the ergonomic feel and more compact design of the levers and they somehow feel more efficient and sturdy than a larger pin.I also like the clamping surface has a large flat area with 3 grooves. This style of jaws grip thinner and more delicate fabrics better by spreading out the pressure over a larger bite surface and the grooves help add friction to the bite.Behind the jaws is a pretty sizable gap so they fit well over thicker fabrics as well, like denim, etc., on the line. The second gap is a little smaller than other clips, but still fits over my line when the pinchers are spread while gripping fabric. These were engineered with some thought, for sure. That may sound silly, but making a better clothes pin was definitely the goal with these, and to a large degree, the effort was successful. A slightly stronger spring would be helpful in my opinion. Hey I know, how about make a heavy duty model and a light duty model for laundry connoisseurs and discriminating house tenders like me and you! As you can see from the photographs these pins open a full 7/8 of an inch where the other only opens 3/4 of an inch. Also these measure 2 7/8 inches while the other is longer at a full 3 1/4 inches. I would estimate the spring strength to be about 75% of what the larger pin's spring strength is. Also, notice how the length of the spring's arm is shorter on this product. If it were extended further out toward the jaws or if the pivot point were moved back, therefore lengthening the arms, it would probably result in a stronger pinch. The springs on both pins have 7 winds and look to be the same gauge and material. As you can see in the photos, I tried to quantify the bite strength on my kitchen scale. I measured several pairs and they were very consistently within a few grams of each other. Their strength was in the 580-590 gram range, as was the comparison pair. The weight of these clips is significantly less than the larger pair which was 4.4 grams as opposed to the 6.4 grams of the larger clip. There is an alignment brace in front of the spring on both pins, but somehow that of this product functions in a noticeably superior fashion. They are firmly aligned and stay that way. This means that these little clips do not twist and go flipping out of one's fingers under torque. Maybe that is a product of the shorter spring extension. Some of these were not perfectly aligned, but they were still consistent in their functioning smoothly and predictably.Overall these are good clips. It was hard to find any drawbacks. I take them inside when not using them, because I have had other models become so brittle that they crumble and break after being left outside over New England winters and summers on end. At around $10 for the 48-pack, I find these were a good value as well!

Very sturdy and colorful and does not twist when pinched
I made a mistake and thought I would buy a cheap wooden clothespins. I was able to only use them one time before they started twisting, degrading in the weather, etc., etc. and that was just a waste of my money so buy Plastic clothespins the first time around and he won’t be disappointed. They stand up to Sun and rain and also use Over and over again. Don’t buy wooden cheap clothes pans there’s just a few dollars difference but wooden ones deteriorate very quickly. I made that mistake and I won’t do it again. This is a good buy And the price is excellent in comparison to other prices and products.

Recommend
I live in a small town and the wind is so strong and these clothes pins hold very well. I also like the bright colors in case they fall on the lawn and are easy to see so you don’t wreck your lawn mower blades.

Very small and will only hold light clothing.
These pins are great for smaller lightweight clothes but will not hold jeans and heavier clothing. Very pretty and make excellent bag clips.

Job done as expected—and more
I tend to be cautious buying anything plastic these days, because too often the quality is poor. These lovely clothespins are an exception—sturdy, easy to use, and versatile. I do use them to hang clothes, but they've shown to be good for anything that requires a light clamp, including keeping snack bags closed. Should I need more in the future, I'll definitely know where to go.
