We’ve never had any issues with leaking, but I’ve never put any type of liquid in it. I like that you can take it apart. The inner piece goes into the dishwasher. We’ve always hand washed the outer shell to keep the seal. Review: PERFECT FOR SCHOOL! - I LOVE THESE SNACK CONTAINERS! Got them for both my kids this year for school snacks because last year what I was using just didn't hold up and would either leak or my kids would forget to put the caps back on their containers, or not all the way on, so there would always be some kind of food mess in their backpacks. Items came quickly in the mail and there were no damages, bought new not used. These are super easy for the kids to use and really keep 2 separate snacks apart when using thicker consistency foods, for example lets say yougurt wont make things like crackers soggy because the 2 compartments are well sealed off from eachother. I would recommend against using more water like consistency items like thinner vinegarette because I don't believe this item was meant to seal out full water type items, but for that recommendation I still have yet to test that so it's only a recommendation at this point. They cant loose the lid, obviously, because it's attached and it's easy for them to tell if the lid is fully shut and locked as it does make a clear snap sound when closing the lid so no more backpack messes ;). They're small enough for their bags but big enough for decent amount of snacks. Containers are sturdy due to the hard case so that also helps alot to prevent anything from getting smashed in kids travels. I would recommend always hand washing though for a much longer life span of the seals though if you plan to use it for a few years. It is dishwasher safe but for anything with seals like this it will eventually wear down the seals over time much quicker than a good ol' wash by hand. Highly recommend the snack box and feel the price for them is worth the investment. ## Features - The Perfect Snack Solution: Designed with kids in mind, this 1.5-cup (12 oz) leak-proof snack container features two compartments (1 cup & ½ cup) to keep snacks fresh. There’s not other space for ice pack. **Q: Is $17.99 the price for one of these or is it a set of two? If for one, geez, that is ridiculous.** A: It’s definitely the price for one. I ordered three of them on a lightning deal. **Q: I am an adult with a very small appetite. I tend to prefer grazing. Would this be sufficient for a women who doesn’t really eat& needs to bring food?** A: I don't think so. On the "larger portion", I barely manage to squeeze an Uncrustable sliced into 4. Hope that helps. **Q: Has anyone found a mini lunch bag that is just big enough to hold this snack box and easy for young kids to manage?** A: I bought a lunchbag on Amazon that holds my child's snack and their Bentgo lunch box. It's great! My son is in Kindergarten and will probably work until 2nd grade. The two compartments make it easy to separate different foods, and the latch is simple enough for a child to operate independently. Being dishwasher safe is another big plus because it makes daily cleanup much easier. ## Frequently Bought Together - Bentgo Kids Snack - 2 Compartment Leak-Proof Bento Box Container for Snacks and Small Meals, Easy-Open Latch, Dishwasher Safe, BPA-Free for School, Daycare, & Sports - Ideal for Ages 3+ (Red/Royal) - Bentgo Kids Chill Leak-Proof Lunch Box - Included Reusable Ice Pack Keeps Food Cold; 4-Compartment Bento Lunch Container; Microwave/Dishwasher Safe; 2 Year Manufacturer's Warranty (Red/Royal) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/357856042-bentgo-kids-snack-leak-proof-2-compartment-bento-style-container](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/357856042-bentgo-kids-snack-leak-proof-2-compartment-bento-style-container) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
