These ceramic channel magnets are designed to provide an easy method for holding items or creating a strong magnetic latch. The steel channels route the opposing pole to the front in order to allow for more magnetic force to be availble to increase the holding power on the opening side. The steel channel also protects the magnet from breaking from frequent use or impact that would easily break a regular. This channel magnet provides about 24 pounds of holding power for a direct pull on a 3/4" thick low carbon steel.

OK, but overpriced
The channels are useful for holding the magnets in place and making the magnet more sturdy. They are a bit small for my application, but I couldn't find anything larger.For what you receive, they are somewhat overpriced.

So many great uses for magnets in a metal horse trailer!
These will be used to attach fairly lightweight metal cabinets to the inside of my tack room in my metal trailer. All medications and med-kits for people and equines are kept in those cabinets but they fall over sometimes in transit. These will attach to trailer wall and to cabinet, and bungee ties will hold everything secure. Thanks! Magnets...gotta love 'em

Very strong simple use highly recommend it
These are great magnets highly recommend I searched high and low I hang my beer trays on the wall without damaging them or putting holes and screws through them they work great

Great for holding firearms in car
Used these in my cars to hold my handguns, Work perfect, Just covered with lite material so no scratches to my firearms..

Good price and just what i needed
Good price and just what i needed. I put some heat shrink around them and screwed them to my wall to hold rifle magazines. They work good.
