My speakers will be about a foot from me and I cant stand it on my powered studio monitors** A: Great question! I've found this amplifier is quite sensitive to input source. With a high quality DAC as input, I've experienced no audible hiss or rumble. Enjoy! **Q: does the unit have a return policy?** A: I had a problem with mine after 2 months. It wills not go into the menu. I sent them a email and they sent me a new one. No questions ask. I Ask them if they needed me to send back the old one and they said no. Only thing It took about 3 weeks to get. I guess it depends what part of the world you in **Q: Is there a highpass filter when connecting a subwoofer?.** A: Not certain, but 99% sure that's a no, based on: a) I don't see anything in the manual about it, b) I can't find anything in the unit's screen menus to suggest there is a hi/lo pass, c) I'm no goldenear, but it certainly doesn't sound like it. **Q: What's the latency like on one of these? or is this intentionally super expensive for something latency independant?** A: Through a wired connection there is no perceivable latency. Bluetooth has the average amount of delay one would expect, I believe it’s Bluetooth 5.0. The reason it’s more costly than other amps is because of its choice of parts and construction. The fully balanced XLR inputs allow for zero noise analog inputs, the amp uses two well regarded amp chips that provide very low noise distortion.
