If other sealants didn’t work, try this product. The product works just as claimed. Every shop should have this on hand.

Mega Black. This is the only material you should be using for gaskets in the engine at lower temperatures. Absolutely hands down better than Ultra Black. I use it in transmissions, engine rebuilds, the air intake, and even when I broke off the rubber bumper on the door of the trailer I could glue it back on with this. Hasn't moved since! It even works for waterproofing RC components. I love the 12-pack here, the sheer volume works to have more on hand. Just be aware the known shelf life is 6 months. It was about half the price of anywhere else I could get it though, so I've been giving away as much as I use and appreciating the same price.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: After almost a year now and no leak on my sealed .

The tube of silicon I received must have been a "return" which had previously been used and then never inspected before selling it again. When I unscrewed the cap I discovered a large hole had be punched in the metal seal. The silicon in the tube had dried out and could not be squeezed out the top. My son and I were under a time crunch to repair his car and get it back on the road and this silicone seal was essential to setting a gasket so we had no option of returning the product and we had to cut the tube open on the very bottom to get just enough pliable silicone to do the job. Ninety five percent of the tube was basically unusable. Hugely disappointing to receive an obviously pre-used and flawed product being re-sold as new, fresh and usable.

I've no issues with my valve covers using this product. Got the job done!

I used this when I replaced the oil pan on my BMW S1000R. Worked perfectly and never had a problem.
