SonySA-SW3 Wireless Subwoofer for BRAVIA THEATER (BAR 9, BAR 8, QUAD), HT-A9/A7000/A5000/A3000/S2000 and STR-AN1000

Sound is an A+ as an add-on to my current Bravia 8 Soundbar. Gives the sound depth I felt was missing with just only the soundbar.

Bought this subwoofer to pair with the Sony HT-A3000 soundbar for the bedroom. This subwoofer plugged into the soundbar and to a power source and automatically paired. It has some clean bass and is punchy to fill a small room. The small compact size also works well in a small bedroom setup.

Our previous media setup used a Sony Bravia TV, a Sony receiver, 5 speakers, and a subwoofer. The quality of the sound once this was set up and tuned using the app was incredible. We noticed an immediate improvement and a truly premium audio experience.We added the Sony SA-SW3 200W Wireless Subwoofer at the same time as the Sony BRAVIA Theater Quad: 16 Total Speakers Home Theater Surround Sound System with 4 Wireless Speakers.Once you have the setup completed, our entertainment setup is at a new level. We watched Jurrasic World again after testing the sound just because it sounded so good.If you want a flexible, premium sound experience in the Sony ecosystem, we couldn't be happier. There are a few caveats to consider.1. None of the speakers or subwoofer are small. They work in our house but are bigger than we realized when ordering.2. The app and setup had few usable instructions. The assembly instructions are great.Download the app and make sure you are logged in and connected to WIFI BEFORE turning anything on.Flip the speakers to position them. They are NOT interchangeable. I had to move 3 out of 4 not realizing they had position labels on the bottom.Test everything before wall mounting.The receiver uses the ARC plug on our Sony TV meaning I'm now one HDMI connection short. You can plug one cable into the receiver and change the receiver input from TV to HDMI to recover the lost port.make sure you have power to the speakers when adding them.The subwoofer required two reboots to connect. Once we pressed the Sync button on the back, it connected immediately.The boxes and units are heavy.When running the setup. the sound tests are loud and shocking. We weren't prepared for this. The app instructions said relax during the test which is now even funnier.Adding the system to Fire TV was very easy. I still haven't been able to get our Harmony system to switch between the receiver and use the TV for sound now. This is a Harmon configuration issue, not Sony.Again, you will absolutely notice a sound difference with these speakers. Combined with a 75" Sony TV and 4K BluRay, we've taken couch potato to a new high.

Not as loud as I would have expected. minimal volume adjustment available through the Bravia app. Definitely should have purchased the larger one even though the room isn't that big.

Love this! Even with the volume turned down, it still fills in the lows!

This sub has seen very little use. I bought Sony soundbar rear speakers and subwoofer. I intended to change over from Samsung to Sony. My next purchase from Amazon would have been the Sony OLED 55 inch BRAVIA XR A80L Tv. After having the Sony wireless speakers hooked up to my Samsung for a little over a year the Sony SA-SW3 200W Wireless Subwoofer would not power up. I contacted Sony support they refused to warranty the Sony SA-SW3 200W Wireless Subwoofer since it was out of warranty a few months. The young lady then gave me a number to their consumer repair service. I talked with another young lady at their consumer repair service. She informed me that they do not work on products out of warranty. I replied so this subwoofer is essentially a paper weight. She answered yes said sorry but their is nothing we can do. Definitely not changing over from Samsung to Sony after this experience.If you decide to purchase this sub I recommend you get it from your local retail store. Make sure you purchase the extended warranty. There is a reason there are so many online stores selling this sub as a refurb.

After purchasing the Sony A3000 sound bar, I was a wee bit disappointed in the sound quality. Hence the purchase of the subwoofer. It really does enhance the sound and is extremely easy to set up. A good valued purchase.

I bought the Sony sound bar first. Really liked it. Then added the rear speakers later. What a difference. I waited forever to add this to the setup. Why? I cannot understand because it makes so much difference. I just love it. Best part is it’s easy to turn off with the remote when I’m not watching so wife doesn’t complain (she is not a fan of the bass). Sony rules.
