Lightweight but amazing
Kind of a bloody miracle product if you ask me. I thought it might be junk but it truly works perfectly just like a heavy duty version. I love it because I can store it and keep it safely with the plastic covers. I tried it on kiwi and if it is soft it doesn’t work as well but apples wow! I even made apple skin martini simple syrup with all the spare apple skins. You hold it down with your hand so I’m not sure it has suction power. But it is a reasonably priced alternative to the big apple peelers.

So far... it does the job -WELL!
It does a GREAT job on apples (I haven't tried anything else yet.). I'd like it more if the crank didn't disengage so easily - maybe an easy lock/unlock button so it would stay in place. Sometimes as I hit high or low spots on an apple, I'm afraid that I'll break the crank, but that hasn't happened... yet. It would be nice to have at least one extra blade. Cleanup has been easy, just don't cut yourself on the **SHARP** blade. Nice device! :-)

Seized, Stopped Working
The 4 pronged fork cylinder jammed inside the housing. This happened after 8 apples. Would no longer turn. Removed bottom base plate to expose gearing. Gearing works perfectly. The issue is with the fork cylinder. It's fused to the housing. Was able to pull the cylinder off and lightly sand around it. With the diameter slightly reduced, cylinder spins again. Unit now functional after this modification. Cannot award 5 stars since I had to take it apart for it to peel apples again. Will only recommend if you are handy with tools. I hope this review helps someone make an informed purchase.

Simposh Multi-Peeler | Rotary Apple Peeler
I wanted an apple peeler because I wanted an easy way to peel apples for a pie. Set it up (easy) and peeled the first apple with no problems. The rest, however, did not peel very well at all. Hit and miss, skipping. I was about to give up on it when I tried peeling it with the machine tilted to the side. It seemed to work fine. There seems to be something that's not balanced when it's in it's an upright position. Don't know how to fix that. The cost was OK, so I probably won't return it.

It's great!
I've spent decades of my life manually peeling, coring, and slicing apples for apple pie, but after watching the video demonstration with this item I was sold. With arthritis in my dominant hand, but still with the desire to make homemade apple pies, I knew I wanted something to help with the peeling. This is great! I peeled a peck of apples in record time with this and had so much fun doing it I wished I had purchased more than one peck. I'm now planning my next trip to the orchard for more apples! I wasn't aware there was any kind of suction to hold it down on the counter, but it was easy to put my non-dominant hand into the opening beneath and hold it steady. Easier than pie!

only apples
I like this apple peeler. It does exactly what it says it's going to do. It will peel one whole apple. It's light weight, you have to place your hand in the base to keep it in place. The blade is very sharp, so don't try to remove it, or "play" with it. This device is designed only for apples. Don't try to peel potatoes, or anything heavy. Apples are peeled from he bottom up, and no skin is left on it except the very ends near the core.

This is Amazing! And if you think it does not work well you would be wrong!
I purchased this based on other reviews. Frankly I had my doubts but...figured what the heck...we have 90 pounds of apples to peal for applesauce and apple pies (go big or go home is our motto!)...so why not try it...this works amazingly well...there is only one issue for me, I'm a lefty and this work is only if you crank it righty...but other than that...peals apples in one long peal..and with a smash of an apple corer...we had apples in the pot for sauce in a flash! i could not recommend this product more!!! The TRICK is to put the apple in bottom side up!!!
