I think you are asking if they need ESC's. The answer is "No". These are brushed motors with only 2 wires + and - Intended for use with flight controllers that support brushed motor direct connections. Motor RPM (speed) is based on simple voltage control (current limiting).

what is the diameter of the motors ?

8.5mm by 20mm. Typically the first digit or two is for the diameter, the remaining is for height of the motor. So a 615 motor is 6mmx15mm, an 8520 is 8.5mmx20mm and so on.

Does this work at 1.5v aaa?

im sure they will turn with a 1.5v AAA but it is a 4.2V motor
