VTech Kidizoom Selfie Cam (Frustration Free Packaging)

Beyond frustrated with VTech. My child LOVED this camera. He got it for Christmas and played with it often and always under adult supervision. I read the other reviews about the camera suddenly not working but thought it was user error or a kid that was too hard on it. Unfortunately, I was wrong. My child didn't drop or do anything else that would have caused it to not work. I was told to turn it off for 30 seconds and then back on.. nothing. Told to charge it again for approximately 3 hours and try the reset again.. nothing. I tried both of these methods multiple times. I would completely understand if my child had done something to this to break it or if I had messed something up with the memory or by plugging it into my computer but I didn't. It just stopped working. I'm being told by VTech that the camera is now "inoperable" and since it's outside of the 90 day purchasing window for the warrant to still be in effect, there's nothing they will do. Good news! They told me I could purchase another one and gave me a link to their website.. for $60 and a chance that it will likely happen again, No Thank You! Buyer Beware! Your child will end up heartbroken and you'll be out $60.

I purchase this for my 8 year old daughter. She has the following things to say about the camera:- It is good for trips- It is ok that it doesn't have wi-fi- It has good games! Especially for trips- It is a nice small size. Perfect for travel!- It is easy to use and work

Got this as a Christmas present for my daughter. She is still in love with it. She plays games and makes all sorts of videos with her brother. She barely goes anywhere without it. It's either going to turn her into a photographer or a selfie queen. I haven't figured it out yet.

Wow, my daughter loves this camera! I didn't know it had such cool features when we got it for her but there's games and frames to use on it and she loves it! She really wanted a phone for Christmas, but we wanted too wait another year before getting her one and when she got this camera she stopped asking for a phone! So, that's a win in my book :-)

My 6-almost 7 in two months- year old goddaughter loves this! She spent all Christmas Day taking selfies and videos! She's such a diva and is always taking selfies with my phone so I got this for her. The buttons are perfect for little girl fingers. Took off a star because there's a learning curve. It's not a product that you can just take out of the box and use. You have to get to know it.

Picture quality is not anything to call home about, but it is a kids toy, after all. Don’t plan on using the pictures your kids take for anything, but it’s great for them to have fun and document some of the memories they’re making.

Garbage. It didn’t fall, no reason for this to happen. Customer service will not help because it is out of the 3 month warranty.

This was a Christmas present for my very advanced 3 year old. She loved it and played with it daily, but by New Years it was already not charging correctly and by the 3rd the screen cracked. I expected more durability out of a toy meant for children. She wasn't "hard" on it, just took pictures and video.
