Good bright lamp although IP rating unlikely
Having previously bought two 30W versions of these COB lights branded under the name “reakoo” I purchased two of these 45W (2000 lumen) lamps branded under the name “Trongle”. They arrived each with 2 off 18650 3.7V 2600mAh rechargeable batteries and USB charging cables. There were no instruction leaflets. On inspection, the boxes appear to be near identical to the 30W versions with different cover photo and cropping of the photos on the side. They are both being manufactured by the same company in China with the 45W version claiming to be “waterproof to IP65”.Having charged the batteries using a separate charger (much quicker than using he supplied USB cable) I ran the same test as I performed on the 30W version leaving one lamp on the higher light setting and the other on the lower to see how long they lasted. The results were very good. The higher one lasted 6 hours before switching itself off completely. On putting the batteries into the charger, both recorded zero % remaining. The lower setting light was still usable after 8 hours, although had dimmed somewhat for the last hour, and the batteries recorded 4% capacity remaining. The units can be powered by 4 AA batteries, but these are not recharged if theUSB cable is plugged in, which is a little disappointing. The units will also work from the USB cable power cable alone. The red indicator flashes until the batteries are fully charged when it changes to steady red. This 45W product claims to be waterproof to IP65. This requires protection against water jets. This is very unlikely given the absence of seals around the battery compartment and the simple rubber “bungs” that close up the charging socket aperture. The body of the lamps are virtually identical to the 30W version which doesn’t claim an IP rating, so I expect a similar level of protection against dust and water.Light levels from these small units is good and adequate for most applications, with the distance over which the light is bright enough for detailed work about 8m (with fully charged batteries) compared to 5m from the 30W version. This shouldn’t be a problem for most applications. The lamps are light in weight, appear to be quite robust and the simple handle, with indented rotation positions, acts as an adequate support allowing the lamp to be placed on the ground at different angles.Overall, these lamps are good for the price and offer a quick and easy light source for most uses. The option of 2 x 18650 or 4 x AA batteries with USB recharging makes them flexible and convenient. They probably wouldn’t survive long in rain but make a worthwhile addition to the “tool chest”.

Excellent lights, now with USB C charge port !!
I already have two of these. They have been totally reliable & useful in all manner of situations & places. Decided to grab a third because it was superb value (ÂŁ11 on Prime, Feb '24) & we use them so much & was pleasantly surprised to find the new one has a USB C charge port, cable included. One of those "must have" utility tools for power cuts, dark cupboards & sheds, even emergency bicycle lights (that strobe gets you noticed, just try not to blind other road users).

Handy little lights - I bought two of them.
Update: October 2023.These lights are fabulous for our loft. We just stand them on top of a box. They throw a good, and wide light, too. My spouse is VERY pleased with them, too - and she thinks they were an excellent purchase. So the 45W version of these lights get our approval.Original Review:Brightness? - I assume the "45W" is "incandescent (old-type) bulb equivalent" - they do not put out anywhere near 45W of LED power!. But they are bright enough - like a decent torch.Water Resistance? - I have doubts about the IP65 rating. IP62 (or IP52) would seem about right to me. "splashproof" - but if you drop them in a bucket of water, the design makes them unlikely to survive (unsealed battery case, and I can see the circuit board when the charging cover is open!).Versatility? - yeah, pretty good.1) small enough to be easily carried,2) they have a handle that folds out that can also be used as a stand,3) they have a pair of internal 18650 (rechargeable) batteries, but if you were camping or something and they run out, you can take them out and fit 4 x AA batteries instead. That battery space design IMO is rather clever!4) there is a USB 5V "out" socket to charge other devices (such as phones), so when camping, power outages, etc., you can use the lights as "power banks".I attached them to a 12W (2.4A) charger, and they charged fine. Reading the reviews of some other folks, I wonder if they got a faulty product, or whether they attached them to a really high power charger (and it may be the light does not fully regulate maximum charging power) - but that is just speculation. Mine work for me with the 12W (2.4A) 5V "phone" charger I used to charge them, with no issues at all. There is no "user manual" - so you are left to guess that when charging, "flashing red" means "charging", "solid red" means "charged up". (There is a small red light next to the charging socket, which is under the rectangular "rubbery" cover. The circular "rubbery" bit is the on-off switch!, and is NOT for opening etc.)The front "glass" (plastic?) does warm up a tad when used on full brightness for a decent length of time. The batteries warm up a tad, too.Not hot, mind, just lukewarm. All in all, I am very pleased with them (only had them a week). Handy for the loft, the shed etc.

Let there be light.
I bought this to light the loft whilst I boarded it. Throws out loads of light and if the charge fades you can hook it it to a booster battery. Doesn't light the whole loft but deffo chucks out enough illumination locally so that you can see what you're doing. Takes ages to recharge but the battery life between charges is pretty good.
