Durable materials and very versatile product
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I do handyman work for a living and I found a Little Giant ladder at an estate sale for cheap. So I had to buy the accessories for it so I can use it regularly as my go-to ladder for my jobs. This little device has been great. It effectively turned my ladder into a painters ladder, but it can also be removed to be used as an extension ladder. I'm very happy with this product.

Works OK ... Mods needed to Make it Great
I've owned a wonderful Sears 8-foot combination step/extension ladder for 50 years and it beats anything on the market today for a home-focused ladder...painting inside in stepladder mode or climbing onto the roof outside in extension mode. It has a built-in folding paint tray, which is critical to have for almost any ladder-focused project. I needed a second house-based ladder for our ranch and went looking for a new version of my favorite ladder, only to find that the 8-foot combination step/extension ladders, which were made by Warner, are no longer sold in the United States. So, next I went looking on the international web and found that they are sold in Canada. After some negotiations, I was able to purchase one and have it shipped to my ranch. Over the years, this ladder's excellent construction has remained pretty much the same, but it lost its folding paint tray. Thus, the reason for the purchase of the Little Giant Project tray...the subject of this article.I use the tray for dozens of uses: tools, screws, paint, dry wall mud, electrical wiring and lamp parts, etc and wanted a tray with those broad uses in mind. The Little Giant tray jumped out at me as great choice for its extensive array of tool, screw and paint can holders molded into the tray. The one risk area was that it didn't seem to offer any adjustability for different ladder step spacings, and keeping the tray sort-of level is relatively important. When the tray arrived today, I immediately mounted it on my combination ladder backside and it fit pretty well...BUT it wasn't level. The rungs there are exactly 12" apart, a pretty standard spacing. So, I had to modify the Little Giant unit by moving the brace pivot point over by 1.5 inches to a convenient point for the backside nut (see photos). With the pivot point moved, the tray is nice and level and works like a champ. Too bad Little Giant doesn't design it with a couple of pivot point options instead of requiring users to re-engineer it.A second minor issue was how to hold the tray firmly in place...the supplied bungee cords are a possible option, but aren't really long enough for that purpose. What worked was to connect the two bungees end-to-end as shown in my included picture. What would have been nice would be two bungee cords, each long enough to reach from the lower support rung to the tray tie points..a minimal cost delta.Because of the above two issues, I dropped off a star, but my modified unit works like a champ and can be mounted at any elevation up and down my ladder...a big improvement over the fixed paint tray of my 50-year-old combination ladder. Tomorrow I'm painting with it.Bottom Line...I highly recommend this Little Giant Project tray, but I think Little Giant should add a second pivot point for ladders with 12" standard step spacing...and two longer bungee cords to provide a nice solid connection.

Perfect addition to my little giant ladders
Love this project tray ! nice addition to my little giant ladders . Lots of places to hold tools , power drills , pliers , etc. Love that i can reverse the position of it without moving ladder . Its strong heavy plastic and metal. If you have a little giant ladder get this you wont be disappointed with it . BUY AMERICAN but not sure where this tray is made . Ok update the product sticker says CHINA , cant always be sure where their made regardless of the Little Giant brand . Nice product regardless

Expensive but worth it.
Expensive at $50ish but worth it. The Little Giant Megalite+ without platform is pretty limiting in comparison with typical A ladders, so this attachment is a great addition. No assembly required, takes a second to add to the ladder.

Saved my day...
Saved my day - works perfectly (for a 78 year old on ladders with gallon buckets of paint) - it's more handy than you can think! Also, the wife loves it when cleaning the windows, she can have all the "whatever" on it! They should sell it with the ladders - worth of the price, recommended!

Does what it claims. Well made
I don't have much to add to my title. It is a pretty simple product. I have used it a lot and it is very useful. Just don't use it as a step. It is not that strong. But plenty strong for what it is suppose to do and should last decades if not abused.
