My expensive Cafe dual-fuel range did not come with a Wok ring, and the manufacturer warns against using a standard round metal ring because it can restrict the burner and lead to the increased release bad combustion by-products. So I was ready to buy a highly rated but relatively expensive flat-bottom Wok, when Amazon suggested I check out this style of Wok ring to use with my well-seasoned 40 year old round-bottom Wok. Here are my impressions of this Wok ring on first use.PROS:--Heavy, solid design.--The cast iron finish is fine-grained and accurately poured and finished, which is a welcome surprise considering the price.--Fits well on the grates of my Cafe natural gas burners.--Extremely stable compared to the light metal rings that come with most Woks.--Easy to use and fits my 14" and 12" Woks just fine. They are more stable on this ring than the flimsy round metal ones with the large holes.--WAY inexpensive compared to OEM brand-name parts that cost over $300 for the exact same design and construction.CONS:--It's heavy and cast iron is brittle, so don't drop it. But if it does break, it's cheap and easy to replace.--It may be the grates on my stove, but this Wok ring has a slight wobble when fitted over either of my biggest burners, which is minimized by turning the ring 90 degrees.--Because of the design and size, the Wok ring is a bit difficult to store so that other metal pots/pans are safe from being scratched.TLDR: Buy this. It looks and works great, it's inexpensive and far more affordable than buying a $70 flat-bottom Wok or $300+ OEM cast iron Wok rings/stands.

I've tried other rings, but they were useless as they didn't fit/hold my woks. This one holds even my small 10inch wok and it's perfect for round base wok.My cooker wasn't listed so I took the chance and turned out to fit just perfect

May cost a little more but in my opinion, is totally worth it. The ring's extended grooves allowed it to seat solidly on the crossbeams of my pinwheel-style burner, not only providing a very strong and sound wok-base, but extending the span of the smaller burner frame (8") to securely hold a giant wok without the worries. A good, quality product that is well-engineered and offers excellent stability, as well as the peace of mind of knowing you can turn your back for a second to grab more veggies without your wok becoming a very hot and dangerous flying saucer! Glad I took the chance on this one and it seems well-suited for my wok size - or any size wok - blazing seasoning steps and regular cooking.

Fits my Samsung gas range very well, good quality and very useful for round-bottom woks.
