ObozMen's Bridger Mid B-Dry Hiking Boot

Wide feet? Me too and I'm a believer in these boots!
I'm someone who has a hard time finding boots or shoes that fit me well. I have what could be classified as Flintstone feet. I normally wear 4E width shoes.I went to a local sporting goods store and tried on various brands and types and at the recommendation the Oboz Bridger. Unfortunately the only pair that they had in my size was the display pair and they wouldn't sell them, so I bought through Amazon.I got my boots and they were pretty stiff out of the box, I had initial regrets. But, I wore them for a week to start breaking them in. Each time they were more comfortable.I decided to be brave and went for a 2.5 mile hike in them. Normally (because of my wide feet) I get blisters on the outside of my big toe and my heel. I expected this, but I experienced no discomfort, no hot spots and no blisters!!! First time I can remember going for a hike of that distance with zero problems. Now that I've shared that experience I'll talk about the boot. The tread is aggressive and great for Colorado outdoors in the snow, ice and mud. They are advertised as waterproof and I stepped in several puddles while my feet stayed dry. The inserts are amazingly comfortable and provide great arch support. The stitcthing is quality and evenly spaced. If I had to pick one area of concern it would have to be the laces as they are not as thick or heavy duty as on other boots I have owned, but only time will tell in terms of their durability.Oboz has earned a new customer for life with this product.

Best hiking shoe / boot I've ever had.
I order the boot at the last minute, as I was going to the Delaware Bayshore to participate in a resue effort for horseshoe crabs and didn't have anything appropriate. They came in two days, tried them on and wore them the rest of the day. There was virtually no need for break-in as they were comfortable right away. Wore them for the event. They were fine for driving, and I was able to walk over rocks, through sea grasses, over sand and through slippery mud with no problem. Waded into the water and my feet remained dry. I tend to be a bit clumsy, but at no point over all the uneven terrain did I even feel the slightest unbalanced. On the basis of this trial run, I would heartily recommend these shoes.

Great boots
These are the best boots I have ever bought. I am in construction and am very hard on my boots. These are the third pair I have had over the years. They typically last me three years. I wear them at least 6 days a week in all kinds of weather. I also like the fact they offer extra wide for the toe box. I still have my other two pair of old boots that I use for mowing and outside work around the house. Five stars well deserved.

Surprised.
I didn't know what to expect. I've owned a few upper end different hiking shoe brands. So far i love these the most. I can't see how they could fit better. Probably not everyone is going to say that as feet differ. Maybe I got lucky. There's a lot to like about these. Definitely quality shoes. Love the arch, the insole is comfortable in spite of the hard outsole which I love. I saw that at least one person thought they were too hard. But that's what I like when hiking. I don't like feeling rocks. And still they have an amazing comfort. Someone said they were too heavy, I don't see how. These are on par with my old Keens as far as weight. But at least a cut above in quality. The do run a little narrow . Considering that I ordered a 1/2 size up. Perfect! They come with lots of tread too. Only time will tell. Only 4 stars because I haven't field tested them. Update: Very disappointed. Not waterproof, While hiking i got them wet in a bog. Water didn't rise 1/2 way up the gussets on either side of the tongue. Down grade to 3 stars. Update: Oboz czme through with warranty fulfillment! 5 stars.

Great boots
Great boots, second pair in the last couple of years. They need very little breakin time.Only issue is I ordered the Sudan color boots twice and both times I received Raven color boots, the packing box showed Sudan on it. Returned one and then decided to keep the replacement (color grows on you).

Good Comfortable Hiking Boots.
What I liked about these is how secure my ankles felt and how they cushioned each step. They are also waterproof. Definitely recommend getting a half size up if you plan on putting a second layer of socks on because these boots are very form fitting. Easy to get on and off. I especially liked the bottom tread, you could feel that they wouldn't slip. Not the lightest boot but definitely a good value hiking boot. I would recommend them.

So comfy
Great boots they are soooooo comfy so far so good. I came from a pair of Merrill’s and before that redwings that I loved but my feet don’t like the old boots anymore. The oboz are very comfortable and my feet feel secure in them. My heels don’t shift in any way.

Let's Talk About Boots, Baby, Let's Talk About Boots And Feet
I've worn these boots for a bit now and they're excellent boots. Good fit, good look, and pretty good price too. I bought the size I wear in regular shoes and I will say they fit me fine. They were a bit snug when I first put them on but as I've worn them they've gotten a bit looser. These are for every day wear for me so I wear them with regular socks, not hiking socks. If I was going to regularly wear hiking socks with them, I think I'd want that half size larger to accommodate the bulk. It really comes down to a personal call I think. I will also say, even snug, they didn't require a break in period. I walked five miles the day after I bought them and they were fine. There are a few cons for me, but not enough to lose a star, that I'd like to share. One, they ended up being more tactical looking then I was expecting. I needed black shoes because I wear them into an office environment and I needed something to blend into the business casual look. They fit the bill for that but they look a bit like a military/police boot to me then I was expecting. Two, I'm not overly fond of the laces. They've got a bit of stretch to them. I think it'd be great if you laced your boots extra tight and needed some give but I always re-lace mine in a certain pattern that allows some give so the extra give from the stretchy laces isn't needed. Again, not a big gripe, I'll just get another pair of laces if it becomes annoying but it was a down side.Overall I'm very happy with these boots and I'd buy another pair from Oboz without hesitation.

Comfortable!
Very comfortable, lightweight, locks the heel in place, easy to tie up, extreme grip on rough terrain, and took no time at all to break in.

Slimmer than expected.
Fit was much more narrow than expected based on other reviews and the manufacturer's own information. They do appear to be a well built product however.Returned solely because of the way they (didn't) fit.

Very comfortable fit
I bought Oboz as I have a pair of their walking shoes, which also score high in the comfort stakes.I do quite a lot of walking and have had various makes in the past and these are right up there withthe very best. They are a very well constructed boot and for me I partially like the very firm sole as a lotof my walking is on very stony trails.

Just simply a good boot.
These boots are excellent. I hike just about every day around the Algonquin park area, these boots perform and hold up excellent for the rough terrain. I have had more expensive boots that weren't near as comfortable. All in all a great boot.
