Fabulous Ice Maker!
Our fridge's ice maker went out and we were desperate. I bought this little unit about a month ago and it is an absolute workhorse! It's just great. While it's just the two of us in the house, this made plenty of ice for about a day and a half. Because I always seem to be in the kitchen cooking, it's easy for me to empty the little container of ice into our "broken" ice maker and let the Frigidaire make more. I could see how families with children could even use this to help supplement their ice needs for parties or large dinners. This ice can easily be bagged and slipped into the freezer for use later. This unit is just terrific! We are getting our ice maker replaced, but we're gonna keep this little unit. Our grown kids have seen it and love it. They wanna use it, too!

A nice icemaker
It is a great icemaker. My wife is an ice water drinker and this keeps her happy. Fairly quiet, it makes cubes at a reasonable rate. If not used, they melt and cool the water in the reservoir. If the cube holder is tilted when inserted or it becomes full when cubes are not used, the full sensor (a light source and sensor across the top of the storage area) will stop ice making. Reinsert the cube holder correctly to start ice production. There are several different physical size descriptions on the internet, but really only one model and one size. The only difference in some are where the side an rear air vent holes are located. They must not be blocked for proper cooling opertion.

Love it
What's not to love about my counter ice machine?? It's so easy to use. It makes enough ice for 2 people per week. We were buying ice and this product helped eliminate that. I love the red color. The ice cubes fit easily in my to go cup. The only issue I have is it takes a while to make the ice. One tank makes 2 gallon bags of ice and it takes 2 hours to make. I would buy this product again.

Great little ice maker
Does its job well. Quickly cranks out a bunch of ice. Sometimes it can get hung up when it runs out of water and doesn’t seem to sense its been filled, but Bill Gates taught me to reboot if at all worried and that always gets this thing back on track.

This thing makes ice really fast!
This machine is wonderful. The unit is a "returned" item and did not include an instruction manual, but it's extremely user-friendly.Pour the water to the max fill line, turn the machine on, and it starts immediately. The ice that can be seen in the photo is what is made from the maximum water added -- and it takes an hour or less. The ice is in a basket above the water reservoir, so the unit is about half-full of ice when it looks like this.Ice "cubes" (more like pellets) are of a good consistency and firmness. I used filtered water (from a Brita pitcher) and the ice tastes the way it should.I'd buy this item again -- and in fact, I might. I bought this one for the place where I volunteer, but maybe I need one at home too!

I love it but...
I do love this countertop ice maker a lot but I really wish it kept the ice cold instead of letting the ice melt then remaking ice. It makes ice super quickly so I guess it doesn't really matter that the ice isn't kept cold. I do recommend this ice maker 😁💯

Mine sounds possessed! Growls and grunts. NOT NORMAL
UPDATE as of July 2020 -We ended up having to move last year, so only used this ice maker for about two months before packing it back up in its original packaging for a local move. It didn't get UNpacked until three months ago. We plugged it back in, ran a few rounds of lemon water through it to clean out the tubes, and got it going. Things seemed fine. It wasn't even as noisy as it was before. We only use bottled water in it, as our area has pretty hard water. But then last week, it suddenly decided it wasn't going to make ice any more. It was giving us the "add water" error message, even though it was full. We tried turning it off and back on several times. We also completely unplugged it, hoping that might reset whatever had gone wrong.Nope.Dead ice maker. So, we got LESS THAN SIX MONTHS' use from this ice maker. I don't know if it was just a lemon (you can read my original review...it never sounded right, and I never got a response from Frigidaire), or if this company makes extra-cheap machines. I am beyond disappointed in this. I need an ice maker and now can't afford to replace this one, with so little use on it.Not happy.------------ORIGINAL REVIEW -We've had two other ice machines over the last decade. We keep this upstairs. I am partially disabled and don't have the mobility to run to the kitchen fridge. These machines help me have cold drinks and fill ice bags.I love the color on this one. We've not had the Frigidare brand before, but most of these portable ice makers are the same and just have a different label slapped on them. It is pictured in the photo (decal was ours, they do not come thay way). This is making ice ok for now, but I am SERIOUSLY concerned about how long it will last! We have NEVER had one that sounded like it was on its last leg, gasping and grunting to get the water up into the freezing compartment! It grunts and grinds so loudly, it makes the overflow tray on our keurig coffee maker (maybe 1-1/2 to 2 feet from the ice maker) shake! It is like a mini earthquake when it pumps water up! I KNOW this is not normal. At first, we thought the coffee pot was dying and grunting, as we listened from the other room. Nope...it was this ice maker.I would like to see either the seller or manufacturer step up and replace this machine for us. We bought it new, not a refurb. Very disappointed in this unit so far. But I can no longer afford to just get a different one. 😓

Works for summer
The only downside is it has be really leveled or something. So when i moved the unit, it has issue drawing water in. Had to readjust a few times. But its nice for summer.

Love it so far
Doesn’t make too much noise, makes a descent amount of ice before needing to be refilled, easy to clean.

These machines work great until they don't
I bought this ice machine to replace my frigidaire. I have tried all of the different brands over the years and the one thing they all have in common is that they only last for about 18 months before they crap out. We use a lot of ice and the ice maker built into the fridge just could not keep up. The countertop ice makers are amazing for the amount of ice they can produce and the fact they are portable make these a must have. Replacing these every year and a half add $150 a shot is not ideal but for us it is a necessity.

A Guilty Pleasure
This was purchased for my summer cottage, where one has to carry in bottled water to ensure no contaminants. This little device makes quick and simple work of making ice cubes - surprisingly (to me) much more easily than filling my ice trays and balancing them into the freezer. It was definitely an indulgence, but one that I am greatly enjoying.
