Works great. Really hard to put on the window without wrinkles though

I am so VERY glad we bought this heat reflective film..We have a big window that faces full south so it really heats our house up in this VERY hot and dry drought we are having in Washington State..The film I bought was Mercury Blue..I got the 23.6x 6.5 ft size..It went on easily..The hardest part was getting the protective film off the window cling ..After struggling with the large window first.. I had enough left over to cover a small window in our porch that faces full EAST sun ..I figured out putting a piece of scotch tape on the corner of the protective film (not the one that goes on the window) and pulling it was sooo easy to separate the 2 films..I also used a spray bottle with just dish soap and water..I used a LOT of spray on the window and the cling..NOTE: Do not spray the window before you are ready to apply because the soap, especially on a hot sunny side window, will dry and leaves streaks and you just have to spray again.. Also, I had enough left over to do the small window in the porch.. I planned on that when I ordered..The only concern I had was I new it would be pieced together..I decided to overlap one window with the scraps..IT HELD GREAT!! You can see in the pictures I took..They are the last of windows.. If you look at the pictures and see the comparison to the opened window and the window with the heat reflective film on it..you can see how clear it is …a bit tinted but still great visibility.. I HIGHLY recommend this product.. I did a test for the temp with the window covered and the window not covered..There is a HUGE difference now with the heat stopped outside! Yaaaaay! I am planning on a long term solution to the ‘heat is here to stay’ situation our climate change has put us all in. Note: I cut my window cling as close to size before putting it on..That seemed easier..I did have an exact0 knife for trimming some areas but that was minimal..GOOD luck!SECOND REVIEW ON SECOND ORDER.. I still love this product…I used it on 2 West side facing bedroom windows..I had a very pretty prismatic window cling on those but they were not heat reflecting..I cut the heat reflecting film and applied like the first order..It went on without a problem..NOTE…You can see right through this reflective window cling..My husband went outside and I stayed inside for the test..Sooo, I really missed my prismatic cling.. I wondered if it would stick to the reflective cling..IT DOES!! Sooo pretty..The first 6 pictures are the dinning room window..I have a picture of flowers to divide the window pictures..The last pictures are the bedroom window with the heat reflective cling underneath the prismatic film.. LOVE it..

I found this product through an online blogger who installed it on their garage windows, and this has been great. I installed the mirrored version on 6 decreasing arc windows on our garage door. I attempted to make a stencil to cut the film closer to the size/shape of the windows but ended up only cutting the length close to the actual size. I made sure to order the film in a width close to the height of the windows, so that helped. My first window application attempt failed. I tried to peel all of the backing off of the film and install ( I was doing this myself), so needless to say I had to waste that piece. Without liquid applied, the film is very sticky when the backing is removed. I quickly learned to peel the backing incrementally as I applied it to the window. I had a spray bottle of prepared window film solution, from a previous purchase, so I applied that liberally (as mentioned in other reviews). Our garage faces due west, so the windows were warm during installation. I also had the small utility knife (from a previous purchase) to help trim the film after installation. I managed to get most of the bubbles out. As I used lots of liquid, it sort of got trapped in the bottom part of the window frame, and I found this caused some channeling or bubbles. When it was almost dry, I went back and pushed the channels or bubbles and they all went away. The film did tear a little, here and there, as I cut it, but it was so close to the edge it didn't impact that functionality. It looks great, and the garage is noticeably cooler. I wish I would have done this sooner.

Open the box, take of the shrink wrap and you are hit with a plastic, chemical smell. It is a very dark black not the blue you are imagining. I hope it is better when on the window. Clean window, fully spray everything with water and soap made to the exact, magic, ratio on package. Battle for 30 minutes to pull of the backing only to then find a tab on the other corner of the roll you hadn't noticed at first. Re spray window as it is dry due to your taking so long to get the backing off the window film. As you start pulling off the backing you find that no it wasn't the backing being so stiff... it is the window film... crinkle, crunchy, smelly, you press on... liberally dousing everything in your magic water so it will float on smoothy.. make it all the way to the bottom of your sliding glass door and step back going oh my... so many bubbles... no, no we will prevail! After all you've done window film before... you know the bubbles come out.. only these do not... you push, you cajole, you rub, and douse in more water... but to you chagrin, the bubbles don't move at all. They sit unmoving laughing at you.... This is when you find out that the window film is peel and stick. But not the normal type you can lift back off and set down to get bubbles out of the film... oh no this is a peel and stick that is a magic contact glue that has bonded the film to your window so fully you cannot smooth out the bubbles, you cannot lift it back off. It took every ounce of my 170 pounds to pull it back off the window... on the plus side it didn't stretch or deform from the insane amount of tugging I had to do to get the silly thing back off the window. On the downside it is now glue, it is magic sheet of instant glue that sticks to everything and does not let go...

I bought this for the glass in the middle of my front door and I am very pleased. It was easy to apply eventhough I noticed a few small bubbles in the corner of the glass however, the next day I was surprised to see it disappeared. Upset I didn't take pics. Will definitely recommend and I will buy again. Thank you!

You can clearly see the side where I’ve put the reflective film and where I haven’t. It works great. Very easy application. You do need your own squeegee and water spray bottle so keep that in mind.

this item is not really good, doesn't adhesion to the glass. Don't buy
