How long between coats

I only give one coat - rubbing it into the wood and leaving no excess. If I give more than one thin coat, then I'd have to sand it the next spring before repeating the process.

What is square foot coverage?

I was surprised to find this was only a quart - so did not test its square footage. However, I did buy 5 gallons of it at home depot. My deck is a 20 year old pressure treated lumber deck - 350 sf - plus steps. It took all of it and I bought an extra gallon to go in between boards.

Why couldn’t I use this on interior furniture?

The label says for use outdoors. Decks,railings,etc. probably because it is an oil and would take a long time to dry.
