I've used several sea sponges, and these are definitely synthetic. I should have been more cautious due to the low price. The feel is more scratchy than a natural sponge, and much firmer (I like the softness of natural sponge much better). The gloves weren't necessary to me, and I don't like how they feel (plus, wearing gloves in the shower feels really weird). Too scratchy. I won't make the same mistake twice.

I had to changed my rating from 5 stars to 2. The sponge didn’t last long, it came apart quite easily. It’s also hard to get into the nooks of our body with it. I ended up using them to clean my walls.The gloves were just ok, too. They didn’t last as long as the ones I usually get. I’m a bargain shopper but in this case, you get what you pay for.

Was looking for something cheap, not too small, and coarse enough to rub off dead skin but not be painful - This set is perfect!!! Cannot beat the price, the sponges clearly say FOAM not SEA, but they are good enough for my sensitive skin, and larger than expected. Great buy!

Love the sponge and gloves. Stopped using those plastic loofah's from walgreens. Breeding grounds for bacteria.

Really happy with this purchase! The gloves are nice and the sponge is actually pretty large and suds up nicely with my body wash. I use a suction hook to hang it up on the side of the shower and it dries out nicely without staying waterlogged. And the second one went to my husband.

Gloves were very soft. Doesn't feel like the other exfoliating gloves I've used
