DON'T LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS.
I was hesitant to buy the remote for the MB quart lighted speakers because of negative reviews but I figured they were from misinformed buyers, plus what kind of complaints is it that the remote is plastic? Every remote I own is plastic......Three things for the remote to function properly:1-you NEED the lighted version of the MB Quart speakers (has an "L" in the model number)2- each speaker requires 12 volts of DC power (a completely separate connection from the speaker wires) in addition to the speaker sound connections.3- the 12 volts of DC power must be applied to the speaker (turned on) for the remote to THEN control the lights.In addition to receiving signal from the remote, the speakers must wirelessly transmit and communicate with each other because the lights stay in sync. The remote doesn't need to be aimed at each speaker either, if you're in the general vicintity they all turn on or off together.Excellent product but I think as others stated, the remote should come with the speakers.

didnt like it the remote was very unresponsive and didn't work ...
didnt like it the remote was very unresponsive and didn't work as expected. I thought it was the speakers , replaced them only to find it was the remote capability was subpar

worked exactly as it should
No problem at all.. Make sure your have the correct speaker AND make sure you have the power connected to the speakers. That's it. Remote is self explanatory.

Doesn't work!
Lights come on, stay one color, the remote doesn't control them at all. No online instructions from MB Quart, just a picture of the remote, nothing in the speaker instructions. I wonder where or what the receiver is that the remote controls. You can not call MB Quart, NO SUPPORT AT ALL!I have the lighted speaker with the "L"I have separate wires for the lights
