The media could not be loaded. I can imagine this book on sale in central London as souvenir-bait for tourists. It’s set in the capital after all, with nice references to touristy locations, the monarchy, and with a typical helping of Paddington humour and British nostalgia.That being said, it’s also a simple, but enjoyable little story. My two year old really enjoys it. It’s well written and includes some really pretty illustrations. It also serves as a nice springboard to introduce the city of London, Buckingham Palace and the monarchy (though it is set when we still had a Queen, so I guess it had a historical component nowadays!)It’s a fairly simple story, though not necessarily in a bad way; it follows the tale of Paddington on a day out to visit the palace with Mr Gruber. While not all children have necessarily visited Buckingham Palace, most can relate to the idea of a trip out to do something novel. Whereas most children might fantasise about something special and unique happening on a day out, for Paddington it really happens, because of course the Queen has a particular liking for bears.It’s short, sweet, simple and charming, and I was pleasantly surprised. A worthwhile addition for Paddington fans.

A happy day for a sweet bear and his friend. The illustrations are beautiful and capture your imagination. A perfect book for all ages.

Was asked to bring along a book to granddaughters baby shower , picked this as her dad ,my son ,loved paddington hope his granddaughter will enjoy hearing about him too

This is for my great grandson who will be 10 years old this month , he is autistic and has AHDA but loves everything about Paddington so this is in addition to the 15 book library that I have also bought him .Absolutely fantastic books

I liked the size of book and illustrations. Thought it would be good addition with t shirt. Didn't get ending of story. Story read to my niece as very much into paddington.

Really charming and lovely story books from Paddington, these were a gift to some International friends that love all things Britain and the Royal Family to read to their children. Good quality paperback books that are nicely illustrated and just lovely to read.
