Good condition besides 2 damages to cover
One corner of the cover was ripped and the back had a fairly large damaged spot. Besides that, it seemed in new/unopened condition.

Wonderful graphics and cultural essays. Not crazy about the Latin material.
My biggest criticism is that this series tries to do too much. Less vocabulary should be introduced at every stage (no more than half the current requirements), with a more restrained, incremental approach to grammar. The problem, as with all induction texts, is that to make the story interesting, the editors throw a large amount of vocabulary into each stage, with more required to get through the long Latin passages. There are too many passages, as well.It is too bad, because this is hands-down the most beautifully produced Latin textbook series on the market. By the way, I don't have any quarrel with the induction method: it is no less valid than any other pedagogy. If you are going to go that route, however, you need to have some consideration of the average student who is not a natural and will need LOTS of reinforcement and a SLOWLY graduated progress. This book was produced by language-savants (that is what most language teachers are) for language-savants. It is also broth produced by a very large number of cooks: not a good sign in any textbook.
