Lot's of Fun!
I first saw this lane changing race set when I was a kid, but was unable to afford it until an adult. I found it at half price and I bought it for my grandkids. They, as well as I, enjoyed it immensely.

They forgot to mention 1 little thing
Overall, Worth the money, However, These run on AAA batteries, ( 4 per car/radio )so don't forget to order some rechargeables. The track goes together and comes apart fairly easy. The reverse function is kinda useless but sometimes ( rarely ) it can right your car on the track after a slideout or crash. Running 2 cars is pretty easy, 3 is a bit more tricky, running 4 is complete bumpercar caose. The track is only wide enough to run 3 cars side by side, but, its so tight they rub as they go around. They should have some form of soft impact bumpers, but nope, hard plastic. only a matter of time before the shells crack and break, but for now, and for the price, A decent buy,

Great Set!
This is an excellent race set. IMO 1/32 size cars are so much more fun and realistic than the smaller HO cars. I used to have a set as a kid that used the 2-slot tracks with transformer that had the metal contacts right in the track. These worked good, but if you jostled the track, the connection was broken, so you were always fiddling with the track. And if the track got too big, you lost power at the far end. The nice thing about this new style is that it uses the slots to keep the cars on the track, but no electrical "connection" is necessary, because everything is remote control. The cars get their power from 2 AAA batteries (which actually, by the way, last a longer time than you'd think). And somehow they've figured out how to use multiple slots so that the cars can change lanes. And it really works! Basically, the track is wide enough for 3 cars abreast. You can actually steer around cars and pass them, or slide over and block them. Very cool! Also, the controls come with a nifty system that prevents you from just going full pedal to the metal all the time: you only get 20 second of full power before it slows down for a "recharge" period before you can use full power again. So it makes you race with strategy to save your maximum speed bursts when you really need them. Anyway, this is a very cool race set that works great. I will be buying more track for my grand children so they can expand their course. By the way, the track snaps together and comes apart fairly easily. My 10 and 12 year old grand kids are having fun coming up with new configurations. And there is no limit to the size: since the power comes from the car, and not the track, you can add as much track as you want without losing power or having connection issues. Very cool!I only wish Amazon would sell more kits of additional track. What they offer now is pricey, and limited. If you go to the DMX website there are more accessories available. But since they come from Hong Kong, it takes a long to time to get, and shipping is a little high.

Great fun for teens also.
We have 4 kids , and this was a present for our youngest. Lots of entertainment across the ages 8 - 16 and the lane changing and boosting add a very competitive element to the racing.

no customersupport
I received the race set on the 12th, set up was easy. One of the four cars runs very slow and will continually stop. I tried changing batteries and nothing worked . The other three cars run great. I cannot find a telephone number to call the company, I registered with DMX slots and sent an email on Friday and a follow up on Monday still no response. The parent company is in China. I had read reviews that others have found customer service excellent. I would love to know how they were able to reach someone. Hoping to the four cars for my Grandkids. This product was rated very well, so I counted on that. If anyone has any suggestions, I would like to hear them

Great product with a minor design flaw
My family loves this purchase. We did have a difficult time putting the track pieces together, especially when attaching a corner piece. When you put two corner pieces together, the resulting length does not equal the length of a straight piece. It also does not equal the length of two straight pieces. We used this package along with 8 additional straight pieces and four additional curves (we like to go big). Even though we laid out our track before hand to make sure it would all fit, we didn't find out that the track would be a half-inch off until we put the last couple pieces in, which caused a couple corners to lift off the ground. It was a good chance to teach my kids a few important concepts of engineering and product design. The track and product itself are fantastic, but the truck must be symmetrical in order to fit together properly. The elaborate track we had planned didn't work, but the symmetrical track we made is a lot of fun too.I would recommend this product.

Tons of Fun !
Many hours of enjoyment with the whole family. After a couple days racing I bought extra track -- 12 more straights and 12 move curves -- on ebay. Made some good layouts with crossovers, figure 8s, and even a small (1 inch) jump. The cars are easy to spin out, which is great because you have to actually drive not just go wide open.Get rechargeable batteries. I got too many, 24 total batteries is enough. The controllers' batteries last a long time but the cars go maybe 45m continuous, which is actually pretty good! The underside of the car has a cover over the batteries. I never put it back on and did not have any issues. We set up one controller with a twist tie around the trigger and set the car to slowest speed. Put that car in the outside lane and now you gotta really work the track.Great fun beating my brothers and sons-in-law ! 2 year old grandson acted as Godzilla blocking the cars.
