Floyd Rose Special Series Bridge Saddle Sets - Black, FRS2BSSB

I bought these to replace a stripped saddle on a 'mint' guitar I bought on reverb. In order to keep the look consistent. I elected to replace all of the saddles instead of just the stripped one. I then disappeared down the rabbit hole trying understand the number cast into the bottom of each saddle. I had saddles numbered 2 through 6 with two #4s. No matter how I arranged the sequence I couldn't find a radius that looked right. After some research I learned that FR saddles typically come in three heights: low middle and high. If any meaningful numbers are there at all, they're typically 0, 1 and 2 respectively. With this newfound knowledge I got to work with a caliper and discovered I indeed had saddles measuring three heights: 8.8mm, 9.4mm and 9.7mm. The numbers on the bottom are totally meaningless, 5 is shorter than 4 but 6 is taller. 2 and 3 are identical. I could have saved myself a bunch of restringing and tuning if I had just measured them (or just looked closely) and arranged them low-middle-high-high-middle-low and ignored those stupid numbers. Now my action is low and fast and the buzz and fretting out on certain strings is gone. Was really irritated at first, much happier now. Would buy again.

They work great for replacing old beat up saddles on Floyd rose special tremolo for the price

I ordered the satin chrome and they were much duller than they look in the picture. The picture made them look closer to the chrome or nickel. In reality they look like a flat gray. Aside from that, they seem solid and I have no complaints regarding their usage.

These replacement saddles fit on my FR special bridge without issue. Reminder, they're the alloy ones, not steel. For what they cost I don't know why I let mine corrode through the paint and had a fine tuner take the threads out lol

I had a saddle that got stripped when I was restringing it. For the price, this was perfect and exactly what I needed to replace it. Be aware though that you still need to have the inserts because this doesn't come with any.

Had to replace one of my saddles as the screw to pinch the string in place became stripped and would no longer tighten the string. Solved the problem and now have the other saddles which I'll replace over time.

Bought these for my ‘82 with an old school German OFR. Ironically the supposedly superior saddle that came on it cracked during a routine string change, and I really didn’t feel like spending a fortune on OFR replacements. These work, the threading is good even when tightened accordingly.
