Rating would be higher except leg hole placement rubbed sores on my pets
We purchased this set of suits for our pups after their spay surgery. We tried dog-specific recovery suits but the necklines were too wide, and the size chart for this product "for cats and dogs" seemed much better suited to my narrow-shouldered pups. For reference, both are ~9 lbs, 8-9" necks, 14-15" long, female Alaskan Klee Kai and they are wearing a size Medium.THE BAD:Let me first clearly state my objections to this product which is the reason I am not rating higher, because this is really the most important information if you're considering buying.- First, the material is VERY thin, and the first suit arrived with a small hole (pictured) that would have clearly spread in the knit material. However, the seller was very quick to ship a replacement (they initially offered me a partial refund) so at least if you receive a pre-damaged product, you can anticipate good customer service. However, it is really very thin material: their fur pokes through everywhere. I would not trust these to hold up to cats' claws or to my pups' teeth if they were not also wearing inflatable collars.- The adjustable neck - a major selling point for us - does not actually hold in place after tightened. To work around this, we just looped the excess string around the plastic adjustment piece and that works well enough for our purposes.- My BIGGEST complaint is the leg placement. While these suits fit my pups pretty darn near perfectly, as you can see from the photos, the leg holes are too far up the sides of the suit whereas they should be positioned more downward to fit the anatomy of a dog (or cat). This wouldn't be an issue but for the tiny sores I noticed today on both of my pups' legs, in perfect lines right where the suits' leg holes rub their skin. If it's a choice between them having a tiny abrasion vs. ripping open their abdominal stitches I'll choose the former, but I felt so upset that this caused my pets discomfort, and I've since decided to give the pups a break from their suits as a result. That being said...THE GOOD:- Besides the leg hole issue, these are WAY better proportioned for most dogs than literally every other "dog surgery recovery suit" I tried. Those other dog suits seem to be designed with exclusively broad-shouldered and barrel-chested bully breeds in mind. These suits fit a longer, narrower body better.- Even though the string doesn't want to STAY adjusted, the neck holes having adjustment is a nice feature that makes it much harder for my pups to wriggle out of these suits.- These are easier at potty time than the other suits we've tried. One of my pups is proportioned such that she can tinkle without me having to remove her suit at all, but the other pup is just a little differently proportioned so I just have to slip one back leg out of the hole for her to go potty.- The shape and the velcro opening makes these really easy to put on and take off.- I appreciate that they are easily washable when my pups have had accidents whilst suited up.Overall, I am glad to have these suits as an option, and it's too late into their recovery to order different suits, but I would not purchase these again after seeing how the leg holes rubbed my pets' legs raw. If your pet's legs are more out to the side, this might work better for you. Just purchase with caution.

So thankful I had these as back up
I originally purchased these because my 6 month old kitten was going to be spayed and I didn't know how she'd respond to the cone. So very grateful I got these because she about lost her mind with the cone on after surgery! She's been pretty comfortable in these the majority of the time. I have two suggestions however: First, the back end around the legs might need to be made a little more snug or be made with elastic, as I could pull back the material and get to the surgical site. Thankfully I haven't seen my kitten do it so I'm hoping she hasn't figured that out. Second, the tie on the neck is great being on the back, except that my kitten has reached it twice and has gotten caught on the string's fibers with her lower teeth. So far she's not been hurt but just something to consider for future alterations with this product. Otherwise I absolutely love how these have helped her in her recovery!

a little large for small kittens (mine are ~11 weeks), but does its job
i noticed there were no reviews for younger kittens as majority of people here say everything runs small - mine are about 11 weeks and it fits a bit more snug on my male kitten than my female kitty (shown in pic). the fabric near the hind hangs down so she keeps getting stuck in it as she tries to walk and flops over (as shown) as if she gives up :( but i tightened the back a bit bunching the fabric with a hairtie so that it's fitted for her and she's able to walk okay! as for using the litter box - my male kitten went to pee with it on and it soiled the behind lol so overall it's a bit loose for younger ones!

An adequate, quick arriving option
I didn't know these were even a thing until I was picking up my two 5 month old kittens from their spay procedure. I had talked with the vet prior to scheduling about things I might need to have on hand, and she'd said most cats took good care of themselves without needing an e-collar or the like. Well, that wasn't the case for my kittens. They were determined to lick and floss their teeth on their stitches. So...I made a diy onesie and ordered these. My kittens are sisters, and within a couple ounces of each other in weight. However, one is longer, and the other is more compact. For the longer cat, the medium fit perfectly, and she only managed to wiggle out a couple times with the neck drawstring had loosened. The other kitten...thought it would be fun to walk up to me, perform a wiggle, and drop the onesie. She's also the one who gets her collar off. So, I had to get creative with diaper/safety pins to make it shorter and snugger. Here is the pros and cons list:Pros:InexpensiveArrived quickly3 pack was a good quantityEasy to put onDid the job of protecting the kitten belliesCons:These are cheaply made. The "Velcro" (hook and loop) is very cheap and rigid. This causes the ends of it to poke awkwardly into their shoulders and tail base.My advice would be to have car onesies on hand when your feline friend goes to get spayed. Maybe don't buy these ones if you have the time to order another or make your own properly. My cats hated them, but they did the job. One wouldn't even eat or use the litter pan while wearing it. Eventually she got over that. I tried to give them breaks from their "pajamas" and brush them or hold them to monitor their licking.Short of it: I would buy again if I had to, but wouldn't necessarily recommend these. I needed these fast, and Amazon delivered.

Great alternative to the cone
The onesie worked out well for my cat who had just gotten spayed and we needed to keep her away from the stitches. The only downside is that the sliding adjustable clip for the neck did not latch down and we had to tie it. Also, the large is significantly longer and wider than the medium (for a 10 lb. cat). Overall, I would recommend.

It will get the job done but too long
It will get the job done. It kept her from licking her surgery wound and it’s easy to hand wash. My only issues with it was that it was too long and the string thing didn’t worked properly. She could wiggle right out of it

Definitely size up!
I’m glad I went up in size like many of the reviews said. These ended up fitting perfectly! They worked out great for post-op as my girls will not wear cones. Would recommend these bodysuits to anyone with pets that are fussy about wearing a cone.

Muy bueno
Fue de mucha ayuda para que mi gatita no se lastimara y se recuperara muy bien de la operación porque la tela es transpirable.
