LCD Screen Display For Nikon Coolpix L19 L-19 ~ DIGITAL CAMERA Repair Parts Replacement

The display screen was a bit challenging to replace - a Reed & Prince mini screwdriver and a special purpose tool was included - however there were no instructions!!!There are 6 screws to remove, in order to get the camera apart - there are two catches - that act as hinges - on the top of the camera - remove the batteries - pry open the camera using the walls of the battery access - as the bottom seam opens first.The electrical contact end of the unit is quite flexible and slides into a female connector - after you pry out a white plastic retaining piece. Getting the white binding /retaining piece out and then back in - takes a delicate hand.There are 4 smaller screws to remove in order to get the rf?/static? shield that the display clips onto. The screwdriver is magnetized - it sure helps to hold the small screws.The packaging was terrible = "A MINUS 100 STARS" for the packaging - the part was in a sealed plastic bag, which was great. This was paced into another plastic mailing bag - that had no padding at all to protect it. The USPS had taped over a hole in the bag. I was surprised to see that the part still worked - a miracle!!
